Central location, excellent service, lovely rooms, nice breakfast, I would recommend this hotel to everyone - the location near the blue mosque means you need to be aware of the call to prayer over loudspeakers but I expect it would be hard not to hear it from any hotel on the old city

This hotel is in the old city and only about 100m from the Hippodrome. It is well known by the tour operators as being popular with Australian tourists, but I stayed there at the same time as an American couple - point being they understand English and tours. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and a small grocery store where you can get supplies. The breakfast there was amazing, nice fresh fruit tray, meats, cheeses, olives, breads, cereals, walnuts. Only thing that didn't score well for me on was the TV. It didn't work for all 3 nights of my stay after telling them twice on day1 about it. Wifi is good and there's a small private garden if you want to bring back a bottle of wine and relax after the busy crowds.

Room Tip: Any room with view outside is good

We stayed at the Sokullu Passa Hotel at the beginning of our Turkish tour. It was the perfect start and personally I could have easily stayed there for a week. If visiting Istanbul I would highly recommend this boutique hotel. The customer service was the best I have experience anywhere in the world! The hotel considering it's history and location and boutique size was excellent. So close to most attractions and only a tram ride away from others. Even though you feel like you are in a secluded area. Excellent restaurants are less than a 5 minute walk away. Our group of 10 friends absolutely loved it. Fettah and the staff made us feel very welcome and gave us exemplary customer service. I would stay here every time I visit Istanbul. It is like coming home to a warm welcome. The breakfast is amazing.Who needs or would even want toast?
I can't wait to visit again.

Room Tip: I think the higher floors are better and in the middle of the building

We have 2 nights at Sokullu Pasa Hotel. The location of this hotel is great, is almost perfect for visiting old town with all the historical attractions. The staff are beyond helpful and gracious. The breakfast is delightful,

The Mosque near the hotel is a bit noisy, WIFI is not strong at room

We stayed at this property for two nights on our return back to Istanbul as our first hotel was unable to accommodate us as it was full for this period. On checking in, we were rather glad as this hotel had a good 'feel' & proved to be comfortable with some character & well situated.
Our room overlooked the back garden & terrace, was a good size and tastefully decorated.
The bathroom contained a bath with a shower over, along with adequate shelf space.
Breakfasts are held at the back of the Hotel where you can sit in the garden, a courtyard or a covered courtyard, but also inside. There is a good selection of hot & colds along with dried & fresh fruits, however NO toast.
The bar has 'happy hour' during the late afternoon so a drink can be enjoyed in the bar or out on the back terrace.
Heaps of interesting restaurants are within 10 minutes walk away along with historical points of interest.
A good area to be in and a good Hotel to stay at.

Room Tip: ask for a room at the back

We have just returned from a very enjoyable six night stay at the Sokullapasa Hotel in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul. The hotel is very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are tastefully decorated in traditional Turkish style and have air conditioning, mini bars and en suite facilities - the beds were very comfortable. The lobby area is cool and airy and very well furnished with lots of comfortable settees and a bar. Breakfast is available in a beautiful courtyard/covered garden room and there is a quiet garden area ... lots of cats to keep you amused! The hotel is less than 300 metres from the Blue Mosque and 30 minutes ride in a taxi from the airport.

This place is located close to main sites but is in a small street that has a local flavour, you will see locals going about their daily lives. We found many delightful restaurants nearby.
The staff were pleasant , the breakfast was fantastic and we loved the outdoor terrace, perfect for relaxing with a drink in the late afternoon. The rooms are opulently decorated with plenty of amenities including kettle, tea, coffee.
Unfortunately our first three nights were spent in a very noisy room at front of the hotel, not only noise from outside but also above us where guests came and went ,dragging bags in heavy boots at 3 am for 2 of the 3 nights. Also, despite blinds, it was still very bright due to the infiltration of bright streetlights.
On our return for 2 more nights at the end of the trip we were given a room at the back which was wonderfully quiet overlooking the terrace.

Room Tip: Try to avoid room 104 if you are a light sleeper
