We choose this hotel to stay away from the May 1 Taksim riots, and to be near the historic sites. The hotel is relatively big, with the breakfast room and the terrace on the 6th and 7th floor providing views of parts of the old city.
The breakfast was plentiful, only the coffee was below the level.
The restaurant at the top floor is great, outside guests also come here for dinner. We dined there 2-3 times: the dishes were tasty (chicken, salads, some traditional dishes, squids, etc. The service was very good, compared to other restaurants in Istanbul. The menu could be longer, as well as the wine list. The pub on the ground floor certainly needs better selection of beers, they have only 4 (four).
The rooms are nothing special, but they are ok, modern, minimalistic, clean and new. The internet is fast, and there are quite a few choices of channels on the TV.
The highlight of our stay was certainly the service: they were very helpful and professional. They changed our room upon arrival (no extra charge), they provided for all our small needs, promptly and punctually.
Paying for the taxi for our trip back to the airport was also a nice touch at the end.More
