Had an excellent stay at this little boutique hotel which is a stones throw from the old part of Istanbul; in fact the Hagia Sophia is at the end of the road...too easy!

The hotel itself has awesome customer service and we were made to feel very welcome from the outset. John (reception) and Ian (Chef) we superb and full of knowledge; both went above and beyond and made our stay perfect.

The restaurant has great food in the evening and breakfasts were typical of European breakfasts (Cheese & Bread etc) The Hotel is situated on a restaurant heavy street so no need to venture elsewhere.

Rooms are very clean, beds comfortable and there is sufficient power sockets around the room to charge the devices. Some of the rooms even have a balcony which I would recommend as it was nice to have a wine while people watching in the evening.

Even has a little Turkish bath downstairs which is free to guests which was a great experience.

Will definitely come back to this great little hotel!

Room Tip: Blue mosque is a 5 minute walk away as is an outdoor market.

Stayed here in Jan-Feb 2014 with my wife on our first trip to Istanbul. The staff here is super friendly and the service was great! The location along Resturant Street is perfect for dining choices, and the proximity to other sights is great!

We did a couples massage that was wonderful, and very well priced! (My daughter had one on a subsequent trip as well)

We wanted to stay here on our last trip, but the hotel was booked so we found another place. But his was our first choice!!

Heavy traveler with high expectations, and BW Premier Acropol Suites and Spa did not disappoint. Stay was BRILLIANT. Family of four, with two older kids. For the price, the convenience (blocks walk to Hagia Sophia), services, and staff it is a best pick. You are also right on the hub of a busy restaurant and club street -- so in the heart of the action. Though if traveling with smaller kids or like to go to bed early ask for a Bosphorous facing room.

First, remember this hotel is in the centre of old Istanbul and you can literally walk to the most important ‘touristy’ places. Second, accept the fact that the rooms are small (because of the first). Third, this hotel is bang in the centre of a street full of cafes and bars and so somewhat noisy in the evenings. Now relax and enjoy the stay. We did, for 7 nights in April.

The rooms were quite clean (cleaned everyday) and the breakfast was quite sumptuous (no bacon please…). We had dinner one night at the hotel and that was pretty good too.

The hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Mustafa from the front desk was a brilliant source of useful information and local tips. Can (pronounced John) from the front desk, and Sergei and Fatma from the restaurant, need a special mention and thanks for being ever so friendly and helpful.

WiFi was working in the room all the time. We used the spa services once and that was quite competent and value for money.

All in all, we would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have an outstanding time in Istanbul and a great friendly place to come back to rest.

Room Tip: Higher floor would be of help - also try for a room with a balcony

We have just stayed at the Best Western Acropol Suites & Spa in Istanbul, Turkey for five nights in April. The Acropol has its own restaurant, supplying free tea and coffee throughout the day, free Wi Fi, a health club, fitness centre, steam room, sauna and Turkish Hamam. The Turkish Hamam foam scrub was excellent and being in the hotel, has the added advantage of being able to quickly return to relax in your own bedroom afterwards.

This hotel can be highly recommended, primarily for its friendly and efficient staff who will ensure your every comfort, and advise on and book both local tours and restaurants. It is in a prime location which is within walking distance of all the major historical and touristic sights in the old town part of Istanbul.

Our top floor suite was very comfortable and had a veranda with beautiful views of Hagia Sophia and The Blue Mosque. The hotel is on a busy street, full of tourists and some nights we could still hear the music and partying late at night. Together with the loudspeakers attached to the minarets calling people to prayer at 5 30am, earplugs should be recommended if choosing to stay on the lower floors.

The hotel is very reasonably priced and even offers a further 10% discount if you settle your account by using the local Turkish Lira currency.

Room Tip: Stay on the 5th floor at the top of the building for the least noise and best views

I just stayed at the Best Western Acropol Suites & Spa in Istanbul, Turkey for five nights in April. This is a wonderful hotel and I highly recommend it. I contacted the hotel via email prior to my arrival and they were able to arrange reliable affordable transportation to and from the airport. After such a long flight, it was nice to know I had my ride directly to the hotel and I didn't have to haggle about the price. When I arrived at the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. I did have high expectations because of the other great reviews here and I wasn't disappointed.

The staff was extremely friendly, the room was beautiful and very comfortable and we were upgraded to a room with a balcony and views of Hagia Sophia and The Blue Mosque without even asking. The restaurant in the hotel was also excellent and the breakfast that was included in our room rate was diverse and delicious. We were within walking distance of all the great sights and we were very close to the tram if we wanted to get farther away. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in the Old Town part of Istanbul.

The only, not negative, but warning I would give is to ask for a room on a higher floor. The street the hotel is on is busy and full of tourists and the party in Istanbul goes late into the night. We were usually ready to go to bed between 11pm and midnight and the even on the fourth floor, we could hear the music and partying on the street. It wasn't a huge problem but I suspect you would hear it more on the lower floors.

Bottom line, this is a great hotel in a great location for a reasonable price with a great staff so don't hesitate to book your stay here at the doorstep of this beautiful city!

Room Tip: Get a room on a higher floor to avoid noise on the street late at night.
