The hotel stands out for its location (5-7 minutes walk from the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, etc etc)... however, it is not up to a Best Western standard and the two biggest flaws were - 1. A/C blew warm air, 2. Room Service in the standard rooms were not up to the mark. We were initially offered a standard room and it was a disastrous start with A/C not working, carpets not clean, the sliding door on the shower panel falling off and the room in itself was quite claustrophobic. On day 3, we were upgraded to a deluxe room, which was quite a contrast to the standard rooms and we felt a lot more relaxed (finally) except for the A/C, which was a 'central' issue throughout the hotel. I would like to make a special mention of Arzu Ozturk, the lady at the front desk, and undoubtedly she was the most helpful, honest, polite and diligent person I came across during my entire trip - she indeed is a lesson in customer service. Overall, my rating of 4 out of 5 for this hotel is entirely based on the customer service offered by Arzu Ozturk, it's location and not to forget the price.

Room Tip: Chose a deluxe room away from the side where there is the football training ground.

We stayed at the BEST WESTERN Antea Palace Hotel & SPA for four days.
Location (close to Haggia Sofia, etc.) was excellent, service and facilities top-notch.
But the difference-maker was the guest services team, especially Arzu Ozturk. Friendly, helpful, interested, thoughtful. It was a lesson in customer service.

The staff, breakfast and overall cleanliness were good, as was the location for visiting the main sites. Unfortunately, the hotel is very close to a floodlit football training ground which is used every evening until midnight. I like football but, after the novelty wore off, found the late night noise annoying. It isn't the hotels fault, or the lads playing football, but the two together just don't work. Pity, but for this reason alone I wouldn't stay there again.

Room Tip: If you still fancy a stay here, try a room at the back or, for a good view of the sea, high up at the front...but be warned, it is noisy!

Its a mini palace converted into a hotel and they have maintained the palace like feel. The chandelier in the lobby, the nice and bright wallpapers, add a great touch to the hotel. Our room was small but comfortable. Dont expect any great views though.
The location is great, close to major tourist sites. Breakfast spread was average in terms of options but it was tasty. The Spa was slightly overpriced by Istanbul standards. The only complain was the hotel staff. Everyone from the desk staff to the bell boy to the restaurant staff was not very helpful or enthusiastic. When we asked for information etc, they only answered what we asked rather than trying to help.

Room Tip: We booked our room for $150 per night which was a great bargain for the place. If you are paying more than that though, you may not feel like its value for money

The location of the hotel is very central. All the mosques were around it. That's why it was easy to achieve them. The staff was very very helpful and also inside of the hotel everything was very very clean. I felt really comfortable. Furthermore in the morning we were expected from a rich breakfast and a friendly staff. This shows us that the hotel is very well managed. I want to thank you for the great days which I spent in your hotel. Everytime when I am going to visit istanbul, I will come to this hotel.
