This tiny hotel in a residential neighborhood offered service with a smile and more.
Located in the old Sultanahmet District and close to the Arista Bazaar and some great eating establishments.
The hotel offered rooms of different sizes and accommodation and we chose an end room with our own bathroom but without the Turkish bath.
The front office staff gave us such a wonderful welcome and with nice touch of the Apple tea and the Turkish Delight. The front office staff spent a lot of time to make our visit so special and the small but important tasks that you undertook for us such as calling taxis, recommending restaurants and giving us advice on how to get to destinations and how to avoid being ripped off by. This hotel picked us up from our cruise ship and arranged for our transfer to the airport for our one day trip to Cappadocia. They also recommended that we purchase the Museum Pass which saved us so much time not having to line up to buy tickets and allowed us to visit the very special Harem in the Topakapi Palace, something we would not have know about on our own.
We loved the spectacular view of the Bosphorus from the breakfast room on the top floor and wished we had spent more time just sitting there, but there was so much to see and do in Istanbul that we hurried off after a lovely breakfast and where I was able to order delicious Turkish coffees for a small cost.
We will return!

My husband and I stayed at the Dersaadet for 2 nights in May before joining a cruise. We couldn't have been happier with the hotel and the staff. We were close to many attractions ( one block from the Blue Mosque) and the area had many good restaurants which were recommended by the helpful staff. There is a roof terrace where an excellent breakfast is served and drinks are served there in the afternoon and at night. The view is lovely. We moved to the Istanbul Hilton on the 3rd night because it was provided free by the cruise - big mistake. The Hilton is a luxury hotel but in an area that looks like any other big city. We had a lot more fun at the Dersaadet and would love to return there.

We stayed 5 Nights at Dersaadet Hotel during our Honeymoon Trip to Istanbul.
From the beginning the professionalism and friendliness of the staff and the traditional furnishing -everything made this a very pleasant stay. Not to forget that the hotel is situated in an original old quater, a lot of must see sights are in walking distance.
We absolutely recommend this hotel and are looking forward to come back.

We stayed in the Sultan's Penthouse for 8 days. The room was great and quite reasonable given the size of the room and the excellent location of the hotel.

The service was outstanding. We received a complementary pick up at the airport because we stayed more than 4 days. Our flight was delayed several times and they arranged a pick up for us even though we arrived at 11:30 pm.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We recommend this hotel

I spent 8 nights at the Dersaadet. The hotel is well-run with friendly staff. The room (a corner suite) was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable and the free WiFi signal very strong. The breakfasts were OK but could be better. The location is excellent, adjacent to the Blue Mosque and the street gets fairly quiet after 10:00 pm. There are some good restaurants nearby but I wish the hotel had a better developed list of restaurants that are easily accessible. They could only recommend three or four.

I would stay again for sure.

My husband and I stayed in the Sultan Penthouse Suite for four nights in April. Before we arrived at the hotel, the Front Desk helped us organize our transfer from the airport & reserving tickets for us. Once we did arrive we clearly stepped into a more fabulous era. We absolutely loved the old world feel of the Lobby, the friendliness of the staff and for the first time, were introduced to Turkish delight and Apple tee. On our first day we also met Deniz the owner, who everyday checked on how our stay was and if there was anything he could do to improve our stay, but we had no complaints.

Our room was absolutely fabulous and immaculate. Kudos to the cleaning staff for being so thorough everyday. We absolutely appreciated it.

The staff in general was amazing. One of the days we were there, I felt violently sick with a high fever. It was also pouring rain outside, and the staff did everything to help me recuperate quickly. From brining tee/fresh OJ to running out during the heart of the storm to get us a restaurant menu and later on the food. That was definitely above and beyond, and I was absolutely grateful, as the next day I was much better and able to enjoy the rest of our stay.

I highly recommend this hotel. We wanted something authentic (not a standard looking hotel & room) and the Dersaadet delivered. Within walking distance of the major sites, delicious breakfast with views of the MarMar sea and a staff that is gracious and helpful.
