Our stay at the Dersaadet Hotel was FANTASTIC!! The rooms were clean and wonderful, the free breakfast was delicious, and the staff were the friendliest I've ever encountered! The front desk attendants offered great recommendations for dining and were very accomodating during our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel!

The Dersaadet hotel is a hidden gem in the Sultanachmed quarte of the Old Town of Istanbul. It has a lot to offer and is close to all the major tourist attractions. From there you can walk quite easily to the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace and the Aya Sofia and all the other nice things in Istanbul. The room is done in an oriental style which fits the style of the old Ottoman villa very well. The only pity was that teh bathroom was not functioning when we arrived, but this was fixed in an instant. Breakfast is served on top of the villa. What's nicer than waking up with a view in the Bosporus. The quality of the breakfast was very good. They served a continental as well as a Turkish breakfast. Maybe service in the hotel as a whole was abit slow, but that was just in line with the pace of the city. Istanbul is a city with contrasts in which this hotel blends in excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view, it is really stunning to be on the top floor. Besides you will be having...

The hotel staff was extremely professional, helpful and accommodating. From the first email exchange with Samet Dere to a warm welcome upon arrival; he set the stage for continued great service. Say hi to Murat Kamat, the best evening waiter and bar tender, who graciously took us to unique places in Istanbul during his time off. Thank you Murat, you're great! Mehmet was always a friendly face in the morning and sweet Asiye and Hayriye always had a smile to greet us and kept our room clean and replenished with all the necessities. Samet, Umit, Ilhan and our Aussie friend, we thank you for going the extra mile, frequently, to assist us with various questions and requests during our visit. The location is perfect and within an easy walking distance for the tram and all major attractions in the Sultanahmet area. Definitely recommend!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Dersaadet Corner Suite; this room is big enough for 3 adults

Dersaadet Hotel is the perfect place to launch your Istanbul holiday. This boutique hotel has the most amazing staff, incredibly friendly and helpful, as well as very competent. They happily work to not only meet your needs, but to also meet any unstated expectation. From the front desk staff, to the maid service, to the bartenders - they were always providing service with a genuine smile, working to make your stay the most pleasurable possible. Dersaadet is also in a great location in Suthanahmet. It is a quiet street, but very close to all of the main attractions in the Old City. You can have a relaxing morning on the rooftop terrace, gazing at the sea and the Blue Mosque while planning your day. Don't forget to request fresh squeezed OJ - it is a slight add-on cost, but well worth it. When you return after enjoying the sights, sounds, and food of Istanbul, you will appreciate another visit to the rooftop terrace where you can enjoy a nice glass of Turkish wine, or perhaps a Turkish beer. The best part is the enjoyable conversation you will have with Murat, the bartender. We were very lucky that he took part of his day off to take us around a more traditional/local part of town, outside of the tourist district. We learned more about the local traditions in that morning, than during the rest of our 4 day stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the corner suites, room 404. It had a sitting area separating one twin bed and...

My sister and I stayed five nights in this cozy hotel at the end of January. Each morning began with breakfast on the rooftop terrace, with the Blue Mosque on one side and the Marmara Sea on the other. (We cannot forget the wonderful delicious homemade chocolate cake, as well as the invigorating Turkish tea.) Every evening we came back exhausted, and it was nice to relax in the Turkish bath in our room, which was made clean and tidy while we were out. The staff is really welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

highly recommended hotel, one of the best hotels i've stayed in.

location - great for attractions around sulthanahmet. located in one of the back streets - a few minute walk from the blue mosque, hagia sofia and topkapi palace. located in an nice area with many old ottoman houses.

rooms - beautifully appointed, decorated old ottoman style. extremely clean and taken care of down to the smallest details. the room with the hamam is a unique experience at a small extra charge. bed very comfortable.

hospitality - upon check-in, was immediately upgraded to a better room at no cost, the staff are hospitable and ready to answer any questions... warm gracious service from all employees throughout. was offered a turkish tea and turkish delight when checkin in.

breakfast - a lot of options - cheeses, jams, some hot meat/egg dishes, fresh bread, homemade cake... not prodigious, but definitely satisfying with just the right stuff and all freshly made. served on the top terrace with beautiful view of the blue mosque and the bosphorus.

highly recommended. a unique experience, great value for money.

Room Tip: hamam room really recommended!!
