“Stunning little hotel, perfect location”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

We spent 4 nights here for our "Minimoon" . The service was impeccable, the staff so very friendly and helpful with everything. Our room was small but it doesn't matter, they are beautiful and clean, and the roof terrace WOW what a moment walking up there and seeing the view. Enjoying a few drinks every evening there was special. The location is also fantastic. We hadn't quite realised just what a joy the location would prove to be. Istanbul's transport is so good you can get around easily, but there are enough nice restaurants nearby that you don't have to stray too far in the evenings.... Don't forget the call to prayer is audible with mosques everywhere - but its beautiful and relaxing.

I visited the beautiful Istanbul with two friends and stayed at Ibrahim Pasha Hotel.

The hotel is lovely, the way it is designed is beautiful and I loved the fireplace in the entrance.

The location is perfect- right next to the Blue Mosque and you really can't beat the location. Do walk to the roof of the hotel if you can- it's has a beautiful view of the blue mosque at night.

The breakfast is also lovely with a nice selection of the usual continental buffet.

The only thing I would say was a but annoying was the temperature of the room. It was boiling (suffocating at times) when we were in the room. We told hotel staff so many times it was just too hot and they kept saying they had lowered the temperature but it felt like the middle of summer in Dubai in our room.

I would stay again, but maybe check the room temperature from the beginning.

Following different reviews we read, we decided to book at the Ibrahim Pasha; pictures and descriptions of the hotel and environment is exactly what you get. Room was tiny but had everything you are looking for (clean, functional, comfortable); using the room to sleep only and making sure to enjoy Istanbul, the size of the room was not an issue for us at all. Staff was always nice and provided us with great recommendations for restaurants. The type of hotel where people & environment makes you feel home; terrace had a great view on the Blue Mosque and the lobby environment was perfect to relax and enjoy a book and a tee. We would not hesitate going back or recommending this location!

Room Tip: Our room was on the 4th floor and view to the roofs (quiet); only a few stairs away from the roof te...

This is my second visit to the Ibrahim Pasha hotel and it feels like coming home. The staff is wonderful, location perfect, and rooms comfortable. We can always count on the concierges to help us get tables and recommend places to eat off the tourist path. I can't wait to go back next May, a busy time of year, so I will book early!

You can stay in an American tourist hotel or you can stay in the heart of the Sultanahmet. We chose hotel Ibrahim pasha and had a lovely stay. The rooms are simple, the service warm and friendly and everything is super clean and efficient as a base to see istanbul. Nice breakfast to start the day and a quiet patio on top of the hotel to end the day and share experiences with other hotel guests. This was such a nice simple quiet place to stay. We opened our windows everyday to the view of the Blue Mosque.

From the Molton Brown toiletries (replaced every day), to the crisp white linen, to the superb breakfast, this small hotel punches above its weight. Yes, the drinks are expensive on the roof terrace, but with a view like that, it's worth paying the extra. We had a choice of rooms on different floors, daily bottled water and fresh fruit in our room and excellent and friendly service. You can check in and print out your boarding pass for your return journey from the sitting room computer. Recommend using the hotel's choice of private airport to hotel transfer (Euros 40 each way). They also offered a 10 per cent discount (even on the bar bill!) for paying cash in Euros. The selection of beautiful books on Turkish art and history was a plus. Would go back there in a blink.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a big window, not next to the lift.

I stayed 4 nights at the Ibrahim Pasha Hotel. The best location to stay in if you are there for the sights. It was cosy, pretty and quaint (in a good way) where traditional turkish building design accommodated western elements of comfort. The roof terrace is really great for drinks at sunset and has a great view of The Blue Mosque. I was in a standard room (201) which is a bit on the small side but fine for a short stay and if you do not expect to unpack. It faced the street and I overlooked the old wall of another building which was in fact a great view. The windows were large and opened so I could get fresh air in. The shower cubicle is tiny, really tiny, but the actual shower is a truly awesome "dumper"! Breakfast was turkish style and great! The best yoghurt ever! The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.
