The room and terrace restaurant have a fabulous view of the blue mosque and hagia Sophia. You can walk anywhere from this location. The staff was so helpful. It feels liike a family run place. Breakfast was yummy!

Room Tip: You will either get a view of the historic sites or the mamara sea. Take your pick. We were on 2nd f...

We stayed 5 nights at the Armada Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed a very pleasant stay. We thought the hotel was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The restaurant was excellent, the service from the staff was superb and the prices very reasonable. The house wines were the best value for money in Istanbul. The service from the reception staff was very good the Hospitality Manager attended to all requests for information and bookings promptly and courteously.
We stayed in two standard double rooms which were large enough (there are larger rooms which looked very spacious) with good modern showers, mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities. Altogether an excellent place to stay in Istanbul.

This is not one of the tiny boutique hotels, but a very friendly medium sized hotel right on the sea and within easy walking distance of the main sights of old Istanbul. The rooms are very comfortable and the restaurant serves the best and most copious breakfast I have ever seen anywhere. The restaurant is on the roof, with a view over the mouth of the Bosphorus, and the food is first class. The staff are incredibly helpful and there is a nice little business centre with computers and a printer, which many other hotels charge for. There are also meeting rooms if you want to do business.

Room Tip: The back rooms have a view of the Blue Mosque and the front rooms have a sea view.

This is a wonderful hotel. The location, just below the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, could not be better. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. The hotel has tons of charm -- the bedrooms have wonderfully painted panels, the entrance to the restaurant has a couple of old birdcages with colorful finches, the lobby is full of old memorabilia, and is at the same time comfortable, efficient and well functioning. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in any hotel anywhere, and the dinner was delicious. The view from the restaurant of the Sea of Marmara on one side and the aforementioned mosques on the other was fantastic. For someone who avoids modern hotel chains, it had all the qualities I look for in a hotel. A very happy stay.

Great place, all major attractions in walking distance. Nice and clean rooms, very friendly staff.
Breakfast was also very good, its served on the rood terasse (covered in winter) with a great view to the blue mosque otr towards the ocean.
I also liked the interior not onlz in the lobby but everywhere.
Very good value for money!

What to say about this hotel? Spaces, ambience, cleanliness, staff friendliness and service, comfort, food, everything is just perfect and in a way far better and more personal comparing to the usual indiferent standard 4 or 5 star hotels...

The place is unique, 5 minutes walk from the most important monuments of the city (St. Sofia church, the blue mosque and topkapi palace) and at the same time, not far (with a taxi) from many other important places. However, although so near a highly touristic part, the road is very-very quiet!!

The view from the 2nd rooms on both sides of the building is very nice, (front: Marmara sea, rear: a turkish neighbourhood a bit poor, but of quite local colour, and the tops of St Sophia church and Blue Mosque to the back!!)just ask not to be given 1st floor rear looking rooms(these ones have a small problem, looking at a backyard).

Breakfast buffet....Simply, one of the best I have ever seen in my life...

Ambience as a whole: If it is your 1st time in Istanbul, I blieve in Armada you are getting a good first impression of this city!!

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on top (2nd) floor, or if 1st floor then NOT REAR VIEW. 2nd floor both sides of the bu...
