A great business hotel located near the water and only a short walk from the main sites of the Old City. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed. Service was excellent. The conference facilities were good. Breakfast was a highlight -- a great buffet selection and beautiful view of the Bosphorous. Overall a great hotel for a business trip and the location affords the opportunity to squeeze in some sightseeing too!

My husband and myself staid in the Armada Hotel on 3-7 January.
The hotel was recommended by my travel agent as a very character high-quality hotel in the Old town, in Sultanahmet area. Thanks to her advice – the hotel was really great! My first feeling was that we found ourselves in a fairytale or at the movie shooting scene – the interior was delicately old-fashion and of a high taste. Room, bedding, amenities – really good. Breakfast – excellent. View from the restaurant – breathtaking. Location – one of the best. Staff – helpful and friendly, English-speaking. The place where I would come again and recommend to my friends. Thanks for the great holiday!

The location is near the water but it's an uphill climb to the sights and shopping. Very confusing and you may come out a good mile or 2 from where you started. Taxis have a difficult time in this small road so walking is faster, easier and cheaper. The taxi drivers way overcharge so you need to bargain...hard. They'll take you a long way to get a short distance. The hotel is nice and the service is very good. Breakfast is good but it's the same everyday which can be tiresome after 4 or 5 days in a row. Nice rooftop dining at night.

Room Tip: You may have to pay more to have a room that doesn't look out on barred windows at homes and res...

I stayed here with my wife and 1-yr child in mid-December, and enjoyed my stay a lot. The hotel is located near major old town sightings, and the personnel were very helpful. The price was also good. I would recommend the hotel to others.

Had a great experience at this hotel, was part of a package tour and it was great, we had a room with view of the Bospherus, windows are not completely sound proof, so be sure to bring ear plugs if you are light sleeper (but I recommend that on any trip). Love hearing the morning prayers at 5:30am.

The morning breakfast was great and the service was excellent.

The location is good, but not as central to the old town since it's right on the edge.

My husband and I just stayed at the beautiful Armada hotel on our first trip to Istanbul. The decoration of the hotel is so authentic and beautiful in the Ottoman style and it is quintessentially Turkish! From the time we arrived to the time we left a week later, every worker at the hotel was very helpful and pleasant and welcoming. We send out a special thank you to Berk at the front reception desk who helped us on several occasions by recommending restaurants, assisting with airport transport and ordering food in for us. The hotel was VERY clean and always spotless. The Radio Lounge downstairs had great jazz music on the weekends and the bartender we had one night, Ali, helped us a lot by answering all of our questions about Istanbul and how to say specific things in Turkish to help us around the city. Housekeeping always greeted us in the hallways with a smile and a hello. The breakfast buffet blew us away - so many delicious and fresh options to choose from and it was so exotic for us! Classical music was always playing in the background, and the view of the Blue Mosque, Haggia Sophia, and the Old City landscape was stunning. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the tram line and all the major sites, including Blue Mosque, Haggia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Roman Cistern, Egyptian Market, and Grand Market. When we come back to visit Istanbul again, there is nowhere else we would think of staying! Thank you to all of the staff for making this visit to your amazing city one we will never forget!

Room Tip: We had a deluxe room on the second floor with a great view of the Marmara Sea and the Asian side of...

Very nice bedroom with a sea view. Breakfast in the terrace with a seasight view and the sun shining. Good quality food, nice to drink fresh orange juice. The hotel restaurant was nice too, it depends on what you order but mezze as starters were lovely. Very nicely located in the old city 10 min walk from the Topkapi palace, the Blue Mosque and the Ayasofia museum. We'll come back for sure.
