“Great service! Great location!”
Reviewed 9 August 2014 via mobile

We stayed for a total of 5 days at Eresin Crown. The staff are friendly, extremely helpful and had excellent services. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Turn - down service couple of times a day! The wifii worked great! The a/c was very efficient. The location is ideal just 5 minutes from the Blue Mosque. We walked everywhere. When we wanted to visit the Taksim square the staff called the taxi and said it would cost us about 25 TLR. They also said on the return if they
charge more then to come to get the hotel staff to talk to the cab driver first! The breakfast was great especially with the spectacular view of the Marmara sea and the blue Mosque. Overall had a very pleasant and memorable stay at this hotel thanks to Tayf tours for organizing this. The staff even had a weighing scale so we could weigh our bags prior to departure back home! Their parting gift of chocolate covered coffee beans were awesome! Glad we stayed in here to rather than an international hotel chain...The Turkish delight...The small pouch...complimentary water...figs, nuts...little things go a long way to add to the experience!

From this hotel you can easily walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophyia in a matter of minutes, en route you will walk past the Mosaic museum and through a bazaar. (Free Advice: Do yourself a favor and buy the museum card at the Mosaic museum. It's not much of a museum, but not much of a line and the card is a HUGE deal when visiting the other sites. Actually I'm not sure if the card discounts the total cost of the museums, but I would have paid the 85 TRL just to by-pass the line of ticket buyers for the Hagia Sophia, ...well worth it! I would never have visited if I had to wait in line for tickets, but we had the card and walked in without delay, while others stood in what looked like could easily be an hour long line, MELTING. It was so hot, I would have paid twice the cost just NOT to wait in line. Same goes for the Topkopi palace.)
The hotel staff were accomodating, the Wi-Fi worked well (was able to stream netflix using a proXPN VPN account), and the breakfast powered us up for several busy days of walking around the city. I'd read about people complaining about the breakfast, but it was more than suitable, especially for anyone whose traveled in Europe and knows what is typical -- you never see hot items like scrambled eggs and sausage normally. The rooms are suitably sized, again especially for people familar with travel in Europe. The terrace bar on the roof has a nice view of the sea, and the Blue Mosque for a nightcap (also where breakfast is served). We had a drink up there the first night, but sat at the bar across the street the others, so that I could enjoy a shisha (hookah). It is surpisingly difficult to find a place with both shisha and alcohol in this neighborhood, but there is a location across the street from this hotel.
One last comment, the A/C rocked! We would leave the A/C on while out, but even when we had to turn it on initially, it cooled the room pretty quickly. Istanbul was so hot, it was nice to come back to a nice cool room, ...one where I would have to crawl under the blankets it got so cold at night. Our valet showed us to turn the dial all the way past 0 until it stopped turning and set the fan to high. It was awesome, especially after walking around late July and sweating from every pore in my body.
The one down side for me was the shower. The water pressure was less than desired, but I'm flexible and knew it was only for a few days. The real problem was the consistency of the temperature, sometimes it would be perfect, then without warning drift between lukewarm and warm, then sudden drops of frozen, icy water and suddenly scalp, scalding hot water. I learned not to get too comfortable with the temperature because at any minute it was subject to change.
I really would like to give the hotel a higher rating, but the shower ruined it for me. If only I would have opted for a jacuzzi bath,... the tub was huge, but I really wasn't ready for the time commitment of a bath.
Also, just take a taxi from the airport, it's about 20 minutes, costs about 45 TRL (or 22 USD). The hawks trying to get you to use their service as you walk out towards the taxis will try to convince you that they are better/cheaper/whatever,...it's a lie, they cost way more and offer nothing but a van. If you are a group of 6 people, maybe it's worth it, but otherwise give 'em the finger and keep walking to the taxi stand.
Oh, the hotel gave us a nice little gift of tea at checkout. They really were nice, but damn the shower!

Room Tip: Not sure if the water temperature/pressure is related to Room 320, or floor, but maybe you'll ha...

Our tour guide suggested this hotel to us. It is in a perfect spot for touring, especially as a first time visitor to Istanbul. The hotel is built on part of the original wall of the city and is displayed in the lobby, very impressive. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Our room was smallish but conformable and the two challenges were (1) the air conditioning (not great) and (2) no outlets provided to charge all necessary electronics. Clearly not a business hotel.

All in all, a good stay.

Parts of this hotel are date back over 1000yrs... Thankfully it's not the bathrooms. Self described as "luxury boutique" they got it half right. While not the best appointed, it is more than made up for with charm commensurate with this city. With more enthusiasm than a carpet seller on cruise ship day, the staff are ever helpful for this somewhat challenging city. Best Bits: kick back with an apple tea of the roof top terrace. The Pits: drop the "luxury"..

Warm welcome, excellent service and lovely location.
Ideally situated only 5 minutes from the Blue Mosque. We were upgraded to a fabulous suite, with jacuzzi, tea and coffee, and lovely toiletries.the staff are great - really polite and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. Bed comfortable. Nothing to criticise.

During my third stay at the Eresin Crown l had a bad fall while sightseeing and shattered my ankle. The hotel staff held the room for the three nights l spent in hospital, telephoned several times to ask if they could help in any way, and provided a wheelchair when l returned to the hotel. In addition they did not charge for the nights l was in hospital though all my things were in the room, and gave me and my friend a complimentary luncheon in the Mosaic restaurant. Quite simply, l cannot praise this hotel too highly - the perfect place to experience Turkish hospitality.

If you are a first visitor to Istanbul ( I am not) this is the place to stay and the area to be in.
You are walking distance from all the major sights such as Haghia Sophia (Blue Mosque)Topkapi Palance,The Bazaar,Water cisterns,Hippodrome ,Egyptial spice market,Galata bridge and tower.

The rooms are beautiful comfortable. The service impeccable the bar area welcoming.
The staff will attend your every need. I had guests from Japan/Malaysia/Germany and the UK and it was important they enjoyed themselves and they all want to come back !

There are some great restaurants nearby such as Sabahettin Balikci ( a fish restaurant) in an Ottoman style house,
