“Good location, not much else.”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

My boyfriend and I travelled to Turkey in June of this year. The hotel is clean and modern with all the amenities that one needs.
We had booked our room months in advance and had made a special note that we would be arriving early in the morning. We were very surprised to be shown to a tiny room (more like a cupboard) that didn't have a window!
The room was so small, we had to play hop-scotch to move around our luggage to get to and from the bathroom. Once in the bathroom, it was so small you basically had to stand on the toilet to close the door (I landed up cutting my foot open when trying to close the door one morning). Our room was also on the first floor which means that we could hear every sound that came from the lobby (the flushing of the lobby toilet wasn't very pleasant either).
The staff were not helpful at all when we arrived at the hotel early and requested to check-in (we left our luggage at the hotel and explored the city until check-in), they were just about as helpful when we requested a room change.
Despite how I might come across, this hotel was not all bad. The view from the breakfast room is absolutely unbeatable and the location is pretty much ideal.
It is a super short walk from the train station (Sultanahmet) and is centrally located between the major attractions like the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar.
My advice is this: should you decide to stay at this hotel, make doubly sure to confirm that you do not have a room on the first floor and that your room has a window!

Room Tip: Do NOT accept a room on the first floor and be sure to request a room with a window.

Hello Dear Our Guest

Thank you so much for your negative and positive critics. We put lots of information to all the reservation channels about it, the room has no window and we can not put an additional bed to this room and because of all these reasons the room is cheapest room in our hotel and we were always trying to upgrade their room who has a reservation for this room according to availability, but it seemed endless to get away from these complaints and it makes us to think more about this room and we will figure something out as soon as posible.

We probably were fully booked, otherwise we could surely upgrade this room but of course this is not an alibi, We feel sorry for this bad experience.

Kindest Regards

Stayed here 1 night--1 too long! Booking.com put me in an "economy ? room"--$200/night. No window & impossibly tiny. Floor hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. Terrible location on 1st floor & no sound insulation. Noise from hallway & lobby all the time! People knocking about & talking loudly @ 1 am. Bed very hard. No tissues--bathroom brush fell off the wall when I attempted to use it. Lousy lighting in bathroom--bright enough, but poorly arranged, so you couldn't see your face while shaving. Breakfast location--great views, but sad, unfresh buffet. Ran out of coffee & the replacement pot was cold. This hotel probably has better rooms--but, I sure didn't get one. I wouldn't stay here again if it was free.

Room Tip: Don't book without guarantee of sizeable room, 4 th floor or higher w/ a view of Hagia Sofia

The hotel is stunning. Very clean, nice ambience, incredible staff. Everyone was so kind, helpful, warm and friendly. I was only able to stay one night but will be back again!! Snacks at happy hour were wonderful, restaurant really tasty and musician playing. Don't miss the Turkish bath and massage. The views are.beyond incredible. I could sit on the terrace for days and not be bored!

We stayed 3 nights at the Arcadia Blue. We enjoyed the hotel and particularly its proximity to the major sights in Sultanahmet. The view from the terrace restaurant is breathtaking with the Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque so close you feel you could touch them. The morning breakfast buffet is above average and the dinner choice is excellent. We will definitely be back.

We loved the Arcadia Blue. The location is great, close enough to walk to all the main attractions but secluded enough to be quiet in a very busy city. The view is unbeatable. When we first arrived our group was I. The dining room on the top floor and our first sight was the Blue Mosque at sunset. Simply spectacular. The room was small but adequate. My only complaint was not soap dish in the shower. What do you do with the soap if there is no soap dish. It was a little difficult to speak with staff as most spoke very little English but the food was outstanding at both breakfast and dinner. Oh, and the Turkish bath was quite an experience. I highly recommend.

After our cruise around the Black Sea, we had a four day stay in Istanbul and were lucky enough to choose Hotel Arcadia Blue. The hotel is two blocks behind the Blue Mosque and the views to the Mosque and onto the harbour is spectacular.
All of the main attractions in the old section of Istanbul are easy walking distance and the restaurant on the top floor has simply the best views of any of the hotels in this area. John and John

Room Tip: A corner room with sea view is the one to go for - they are high up and the largest.

This hotel could very well stand on par to any NYC boutique hotel. From the AMAZING views of 2-3 beautiful mosques (the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque included), to the beautiful room, its gets better with the outstanding service. I have only one complaint- the breakfast- included with the room- isn't as appetizing as I'd hoped for a hotel of such caliber. It wasn't a skimpy breakfast either, but it seemed closer to a continental buffet with a side of omelet. The buffet just didn't match the elegance of the dining room (also with exquisite views!). If ever in Istanbul again, Arcadia is where I'm staying!
