hotel ıs ın great part of town. but the rooms are old and whılst maybe not dırty (except bathroom) well used and ın need of a major refıt.
was not ımpressed wıth breakfast unless you sweaty curled cheese and powdered eggs. the whole place seems to smell of BO..
ıts a 60s hotel that needs to be brought up to date.
no ınternet. generally very bad. so much so that ı voted wıth my feet and moved next door to a fıne hotel called nıppon.
just about the best thıng was that ıf you put your lapton next to the wındow you could get the nıppon hotels free ınternet.

The rooms have modern furnishings and good linen service.
The bathroom is impeccably clean, with marble counters and a large mirror.
I was in a double twin-bed room, not very spacious, but I wasn't looking for a fancy room.
There's no view outside the window, but we hardly spent leisure time in the hotel during our Istanbul stay.
Overall I was satisfied by the price/value ratio, and have no negative comments about the hotel's facilities except to say that some of the personnel at the reception desk weren't fluent in English.

The Madison's location is its main asset, on a quiet street, and safe to walk to and from Taksim Square. There are a couple of shops nearby open 24hrs selling bottled water, cigarettes, and other refreshments.
The hotel is also very close to the Havas airport bus stop. You can take the Havas Bus from the airport directly to Taksim square. It's a coach bus, and a very comfortable ride into the city.

In addition to being near the Taksim square, the metro station, and the Istiklal commercial & entertainment district, near the Madison's location is Cumhurriyet Caddesi, the boulevard where the Hilton & the Divan hotels are located. I mention this because at the beginning of this boulevard, just a few minutes away from the Madison, one can find a number of kofteci, kebab and pastry shops, which are quieter and nicer to sit in than the constantly busy eateries smack in the center of Taksim square.

The Madison Hotel is in very good location for transport links on taksim square and nightlife and shopping on iskedal cadessi. But the hotel staff are an unfriendly lot. The beds were brick hard, the rooms are noisy. The hotel stafff are not gay friendly. The swimming pool is much smaller than the picture suggests and the use of the spa facilities is 5 Euros per person extra.

The staff alone are good enough exuse for anyone not to stay at this hotel

location is excellent for taskim square

rooms not clean quite average run down dull and well below european standards

no ironing boards available

bathrooms are so so small-no way will it accom two persons standing -carefully plan use of them

bedroom left and right of lifts on all floors you hear the lift shafts operate when ever in use

walls paper thin

one english channel on tv

bedroom "long" and narrow

you must pay to use the leisure centre facilities including turkish bath despite being a resident of the hotel

night staff in particular esp porters are unfriendly and non motivated

you can not secure a second room key

despite many requests could not have drinking glassess in room changed cause house keeping did not have them on trolley!!!! no attempt to get them

An average hotel. Lobby is quite dull looking compared to other nearby hotels. Located about 700m to Taksim Square. Double room consists of 1 french bed and 1 single bed. Rooms are comfy and clean but the walls are thin! I can hear people talking, phone ringing and sound of shower from next door/upper level rooms!. Good breakfast.
