On arriving the hotel looks lovely, reception area is large and has beautiful marble flooring. It was an excellent location, just around the corner from Taksim Square and Gezi Park Our room was tiny and very 'tired' with a badly stained carpet, but at last we had a double bed.....possibly the only one in the whole of Turkey!! This was our seventh hotel in 12 days and we had almost begun to think that we had only dreamed of double beds and they were really a myth. On closer inspection we found that we had two singles pushed together, not a problem you would think, except that to do this they had removed the bedside table and the electric socket for the light and the phone lead now stuck out from the bed and were tucked under my pillow!! If the beds had still been two singles I'm not sure that I would have been able to open the wardrobe doors as the room was so small. There was only one very small luggage rack and I'm sure most couples have two cases, the other had to go on top of the minibar shelf as there wasn't even room on the floor for it.
