Stayed here for 3 days and by far, the worst among all the hotels we stayed in Turkey. Not sure if it deserved the 4 stars ranking.
Location was good and bad. Good because it was very near to Istiklal Avenue and amenities. Bad because the rooms were too close to busy traffic, quite difficult to get a good night sleep.
Room and hotel ambience was very much outdated. I hate the rock hard mattresses, lack of basic facilities, wierd power sockets location, unclean room and hot "air conditioning" in the room. Our groups and other guests complained about the hot "airconditioning" but the hotel said it is stil in "heating" mode from winter. However, the air conditioning in the hallway and lobby works well. Seems like they couldn't care less about our complaints.
Wall was very thin, I could hear somebody's farting next door. Bathroom water temperature was so irregular, you might as well take shower with boiling water. Or freezing water if you're unlucky. Good thing there's wifi in all areas.
Breakfast was very basic, the only good thing was the cereal. Service was not good, they even out of drinking glasses and plates. You better eat out for breakfast.
The bar was okay. There was only one bartender to serve everybody, so don't expect an excellent service. Great view on the patio overlooking the nearby neighbourhood and the strait.
Good place if you want to stay near Istiklal Avenue and Taksim Square. But you may get a better deals somewhere nearby. There's a great chance for you to stay here if you are with group tours.
