we had a great time but the beds where entirely tooooo hard. the rooms where spacious with2 beds and both were extremely hard. the staff was very helpful with various information requests. unfortunately, they couldn't do anything about the beds. the hotel was in a great location. we did enjoy ourselves.

I needed a hotel for one night in Istanbul. So, I went to Vardar for their location. I've stayed in many, many hotels in Istanbul. This one was clean. Location is perfect for people who like to go out and hit the town. It's very close to Taksim Square. So, if you are concerned about the political unrest here this is not the place to stay. I had lived in Istanbul for 5-6 years so, I felt comfortable enough to stay there because it is close to some of the clubs that I like to frequent. You can ask them for a room in the back if you are concerned about riots or noise.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back!

During the difficult nights @ Taksim square in June 2013 I had a booking in Vardar palace hotel and I really felt safe and well treated. The receptionist was answering all my questions and concerns regarding the demonstration and explained the situation in Istanbul. Further the cafe/breakfast room at roof is amazing and offers a great view to the see and the Taksim square as well. The lobby looks very stylish, the rooms are nice and quite big. Everything what you need is there. As the hotel is linked to the hip area Beyoglu it's highly recommended to stay there.

We just returned from a family vacation in Istanbul and stayed at Vardar for 1 week. It was a great experience. Excellent location, great rates and breakfast included. The only downfall was the beds too hard. The hotel was extremely clean. Great staff as a resource for tours and restaurants. Location was wonderful. Restaurants circled the hotel without the added distraction of tourists. Close to public transportation for ease to get to downtown tourist spots.

Room Tip: Front rooms were noisy but the insulation around the balcony door was exceptional. Good view.

Excellent and cosy hotel, very good location, one block from Taksim square. Rooms are spacious and price of the rooms are very reasonable. Very helpful and friendly staff.

When booking a room make sure to get a back side room. Front side rooms can be noisy while the traffic is quite heavy and the street is crowded, specially on weekend nights, even on 5th floor!

Room Tip: Book a back side room because of the noisy street.

We had big concerns about the noise based on other reviews but our 5th floor room was very quiet. The room was quite large and clean. The bed was nice and AC and wifi worked well. The location is perfect as it is very close to Taksim square which every cab driver can get you to. Also a great location for walking around, very centrally located.

We recently stayed at Vardar for three nights and I can say I really love the place - rooms are even better than on the photos and are very spacious. Huge windows on the street side makes the room really light. Bathroom is nice and new including all the typical toiletteries. Staff is really nice and havent ever seen anyone without smile.

The biggest plus is the location in the heart of Taksim - which is the new party capital of the Europe (forget about Ibiza) - but the hotel is in small side street - which means less noice from the street. The local authorities also greatly reduced the car traffic in the neighbourhood - so it is pretty quiet now.

Regarding the noise - I feel i need to share one extra paragraph - if you plan to have a quiet vacation, please rent a house in the middle of of the deep forrest or private island - this is Istanbul people, the biggest city in the Europe, which basically is completely different from all the other cities in Europe. Also If you like "Hilton style" business accommodation - consider staying in Hilton, rather than going to butique hotel.

This hotel has soul and will make you feel 100% exotically and will bring you amazing local experience, which you shouldnt miss!!!

The breakfast is fine - enough for the start of the day - but if you like the Turkish food culture, you can try any caffee in surrounding streets. Metro station is 100m far - will take you to all the important historical places in few minutes.

I am Vardar new loayal and returning customer !
