We were very fortunate to find the Sebnem Hotel on Tripadvisor and have spent 3 nights in this delightful small hotel in the heart of the Sultanhamed district of Istanbul. The hotel has only 15 rooms so there is a wonderful intimate feel to it. Beautifully decorated in the rich colours of Turkey sunsets - the rooms (though a little small) are very well appointed wıth an excellent array of reference guides in addition to the more comprehensive library in the foyer of the hotel.
Breakfast is a feast - wıth an endless supply of freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious coffee to compliment the freshly baked pastries cold meats and cheeses.
The latter is served on the roof-top terrace - wıth a spectacular vıew of the Marmara Sea.
But the best thing about this hotel has to be the service and the kind and generous hospitality offered by the staff. Huseyin in particular was wonderful to us and made us feel completely at home and thoroughly spoilt. But all the staff share a great service ethic and have left us feeling like we need to get back to the Hotel Sebnem as soon as time and finances will allow.
We have loved Turkey and this hotel deserves all the commendations it has received.

We stayed (2 families with children) at Sebnem; the location is perfect; the family room & the double room were very nice; the tripple room has to be improved; the staff was kind and helpful; there were laptop with internet access to be used; as said before; breakfast on the terrace is a marvelous way to start the day (if the sun is not too strong)....

We looked at this hotel based on the Lonely Planet recommendation - checked out it's website and decided to book. Booking was easy and done over the email, very efficient and friendly. The Sebnem certainly lives up to expectations - the staff are fantastic, so helpful and friendly. The room was excellent, the roof terrace had a great view and divine lounges (plus the wine and beer were well priced), free internet access was a bonus and the breakfast spread is amazing. The location couldn't be better - we were there for a week and just loved the experience.

I recently had a one night layover in Istanbul, so I scoured the internet for a reasonably priced hotel in Sultanahmet. I found and booked the Hotel Sebnem and just hoped it would be comfortable. When I arrived, I could not have been happier. Sebnem is a small, comfortable, immaculate hotel located just off the main street in Sultanahmet, and is a two block walk from the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The terrace on the 3rd level has a lovely view of the Marmara, and doubles as a breakfast terrace in the morning and a quiet place for drinks in the evening. Breakfast is a veritable feast of fruits, vegetables, eggs, breads and pastries, and serving both Turkish and espresso coffees. The hotel staff was amazing too. I had a problem in the morning with my pre-arranged transportation to the airport. The receptionist called the transportation company for me and when that turned out to be a problem he called and booked a cab for me which arrived in less than a minute! I give the Sebnem two thumbs up (a 5!) and would recommend it to anyone who needs a comfortable, conveniently located hotel for a good price in Istanbul!

We couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough. It's in a great location down a quiet side street (no noise disturbance at night at all) just off a lovely picturesque street with outside restaurants and cafes, and just 5 mins walk from the Blue Mosque and Ayia Sofia. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, and our room was comfortable and very clean. But the absolutely best thing about this hotel was the stunning roof top terrace and the breakfast they serve up there. Probably the best breakfast we have ever eaten in any hotel - absolutely huge and with great coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice, and with such an amazing view, you could spend all day up there!

On a small side street in Sultanahmet district, Sebnem offers a good location, clean rooms and excellent value. We travelled in Turkey for 2 more weeks and found the Sebnem breakfast spread and tasty coffee and capucinnos - available anytime unparalleled and extremely generous. Most other hotels either serve nescafe or charge for a mediocre cappucino. Breakfast has great assortment of fruit and fresh baked treats, yogurt, salads, etc. After touring for part if the day it was a pleaseure coming back to hang out on their deck overlooking the Bosphorus and stretch out to read or snooze for a while and get re-charged to go out again. We stayed in the family room and the beds were good. The room was a little tight for 4 to live out of suitcases for a few days but it was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Several laptops were always available with internet access.
