Simple hotel, located in the city center, easily accessible by tram and has a restaurant that serves food that is complete and tasty, restaurant with the best view in the old city and also with a great wifi connection.

We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights in June 2014. The location is nice and the hotel being well connected to city via tram. The room was clean but had a ridiculously small television - 17 inch. The service of the hotel is disappointing and the staff is ridiculously rude and can barely speak English.

The hotel is not recommended if you do not speak Turkish or Arabic.

Ramada is a very nice silent hotel , it has a very good location its near to historya mall ,aksaray bazar , lots of exchange office. The tram way is about 40 meters from the hotel .metro station is atound 500 meters from the hotel . Also its very clean . Wifi very good . Price is high that is the bad point of it only.

Clean hotel, good location in the Old city, a few minutes walk to the Bazar & Historical places. The room was quite as it has a view to the back yard. The hotel is situated right on the main street. The tram stop is in front of the hotel.

I stayed three nights in a standard double room. The room was modern and clean, and didn't stink of cigarette smoke. The 4th floor is a non-smoking floor. The bathroom is clean and modern, and has a bath. The room wifi was good. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There is lots of hotel information in the room at the desk, and the hotel is dedicated to its "Leave the rest to us" motto to help guests enjoy their stay.

There is a kettle for tea and coffee, and free bottled water in the mini-fridge. There is a free hamam, gym and sauna, but massages cost extra (and are quite expensive compared with other hamams).

The staff were friendly, but had varying English abilities, but generally understandable by the reception staff. Luggage assistants, kitchen, and housekeeping staff generally have very limited English, but are also friendly.

The breakfast buffet was a very good variety of Turkish breakfast items, breads, cereals, juices, and some hot options. It is worth the money depending on your budget and preference for Turkish breakfast options. The breakfast room is on the top floor (7th floor) with great views over Istanbul. It is a pleasant breakfast environment, which is busy during 8-9am, but quieter up to 10am.

The hotel fronts a very busy road and tram stop, but rooms on the 4th floor can't hear the outside noise or the morning call to prayer from the mosques.

It still has a good location with easy connections via the Findikzade tram stop 50m down the road. 3TLY per trip, and 10 minutes to Grand Bazaar, and 12 minutes to Sultanahmet with the mosques, 17 minutes to Eminou for Spice Bazaar.

A taxi to Ataturk airport is about 30 minutes and 40 Turkish Lira. Get the hotel to book the taxi.

I definitely recommend staying here again.

Wow. After kind of an ordeal getting there from the airport, we were pleased by the room and proximity to restaurants and a bit of shopping. There is a great bakery a couple of blocks away with delicious pastries - both sweet and savory varieties. Wish there was a shuttle or some easy way to get there from the airport besides the bus passing our stop and having to take a taxi all the way back into the old city from Taksim Square. Staff was super helpful, wish we could have spent more time in Istanbul....hopefully next time.
