“A stay to remember”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

We were on a study trip and found this hotel to be perfectly situated close to eg. The Blue Mosque, The Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar etc. Even though we were 3 persons in one room, we still had enough space to our luggage. The maids were very friendly and the cleaning was good. The beds were a bit harder than what we are used to, but it was quiet and easy to rest there......What really impressed us was the Hotel Director! Not only did he contribute during a teaching session, but assisted us beyond what we ever expected when one of us had to go to hospital. He even went to the hospital and checked / corrected the bill... It is the first time we have experienced such a high service level in a hotel!

We highly recommend Albatros Premier to all travellers who wish to be taken excellent care of!!

We stayed in this hotel on 1st week of April 2014. We didn't expect much but we were surprised when we arrived in the hotel. The room has enough space and is really well decorated. It has the victorian-ish design which I really love. It also has its own Turkish Bath. It's so clean and everything was just perfect. The wifi connection is also great.

The breakfast was good with enough variety. It is situated in the quiet area of Sultanahmet but is only 5-min walk from the tourist attractions.

We had lunch in their resto in 4th Fl. The view was fantastic and the food was really good yet not expensive. The staff are also friendly.

I highly recommend this hotel. It made our stay in Istanbul more unforgettable.

We had a great four night stay here in February. We were fortunate enough to have a room with a balcony which gave us a nice view out to the Bosphorus, and there are much better views to be had on the roof terrace.
As many have said, the hotel is perfectly situated. There are many bars and restaurants within a short walk and all the major attractions are really close by. It's hard to think of a better place to put a hotel!
The room was an average size and very comfortable, with a great walk in shower in the bathroom. The breakfast was fine with enough choice to always find something that appealed.
The staff were very friendly and happy to help out whenever we asked them for anything.
Istanbul is a wonderful city and I would certainly stay at this hotel if I am fortunate enough to go back in the future.

We stayed here Monday to Friday in February 2014. The hotel is easy to find, just a 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque/central Sultanahmet area. Some good restaurants and shops round and about.

The room, on the 2nd floor (202) was fine - good king size bed, nicely appointed bathroom, opeining window onto a quiet side street. Decent lighting options. Kettle, complimentary tea. Plenty of power sockets. A well-stocked minibar available (prices on a par with others in any city). Room service menu a bit lacking and not 24 hours (apart from drinks).

2 lifts, both working. However, steps into hotel lobby, and to get to our bedroom, so beware if you have mobility issues. Staff very friendly - the manager greeted us on return from every trip.

We ate in the roof top restaurant - the food was fantastic - a great range of local kebab specialties - I had the steak kebab, husband had the turkish special kebab. Recommend Kunefe for dessert!

They are improving/relaying the paths and roads in the area, so we were walking over rubble some of the time. However, they seemed to be progressing well and I would imagine it will all be completed in the next few weeks.

The hotel is situated perfectly close to all touristic attractions. The rooms were way more small than expected, as seen on their website. Wifi is very slow or not working. However the rooms are small, but nicely decorated. The cleaning lady's were working very hard and very kind.

Unfortunately i can't say this about the guy(s) at the reception. Greeting is too much apparently, we felt less welcome. Very unfriendly.

Breakfast was served till 10.30 (wich was a good breakfastbuffet) and i requested one breakfast for my boyfriend in our room around 10.00. It got delivered after 10.30, no problem ofcourse. When checking out we got charged extra 20 tl because of having breakfast after 10.30 wich i think is bad service. This in combination with the bad attitude of the guy at the reception made us leave the hotel in a negative way.

We didn't have very high expectations about the hotel and don't expect to be treated like royals. But good customer service and a friendly attitude is too much to ask for i guess. We won't go there anymore.
