Fatih Resadiye Hotel

I think the the rooms rates of the Fatih Resadive hotel are not reasonable. The room was musty and smelled of smoke, also the room was very warm. The size of the room was ok, but the breakfast did not fulfill a European standard. All in all for the things offered significantly overpriced.

Cheap and Friendly Hotel. It has a good location near to Fatih Cami. It has a historical building. For example, there is an antique mirror at the entrance. Rooms are tiny, and there is no luxury. Breakfast is satisfactory. Beds are clean, but not the bathroom. It is a safe hotel for a family. If you look for a one or two star hotel, I can advice.

My students and I as well as several other American groups in Turkey stayed in June 07. Lovely hotel and breakfast. We did have 1 dinner outside on the patio and it was very nice. We enjoyed a small seating area for the students to convene around. We were treated quite nicely considering we were student groups. I would recommend this hotel. It is a 2 star hotel. The staff willingly helped correct any problems that arose.

The Resadiye is often the cheapest discount option in Istanbul on hotel search engines. There's a reason for this. The location is not bad, being in a parkish neighborhood near the picturesque Fatih mosque, and a short cab ride from the Old City. However, the rooms are tiny and poorly equipped, they have little temperature control, and they're subject to street noise. Worst of all, they often book out to school groups, which means dozens of totally out-of-control kids ging berserk in the halls until 1 AM or so. The staff is unwilling or unable to deal with that situation, which means that if you expect to sleep, you're right out of luck. Avoid this hotel!
