“Great location, so-so hotel”
Reviewed 12 January 2014

Stayed at this hotel in November with family. It's located right in the historical center of the city close to public transport and many attractions. Hotel has a roof top restaurant that overlooks the sea which is awesome during sunrise. This is pretty much it as of good part. The hotel itself is very very average. Tiny old rooms, thin walls, poor air conditioning. So, if you plan on spending a lot of time at the hotel choose something different. But if you just need a budget place to sleep this one might work out just fine.

This hotel needs a serious overhaul. Stayed there for 5 days. The walls are so thin such that you can overhear what your neighbors are up too. The AC unit was blowing hot air and the management couldn't be bothered. The four star rating is a fuss

This hotel was decent. Rooms were clean although a little small by North American standards and a little dated. We didn't find the staff particularly helpful but they were pleasant enough and we mostly did our own thing. Breakfast was good, with a nice selection and a good view of the sea of Marmara.

The best part about this hotel is the location. Great place to stay if you want to explore the old town of Istanbul. We walked to everything!

This hotel works for what we used it for: a safe, clean place to crash after a long day of sightseeing.

It's my first time been to Istanbul and I think I did choose the right place!!

The hotel is cozy and nice, Staff are friendly and helpful. When I arrived the hotel was full so they gave me room 218 that had no view and promised me to change it the next day. as promised by next day I changed my room to be 503 that was much better with nice view.

Location of the hotel was fantastic near to everything!! you only have to walk for 10 min to be by "Hagia Sofia", "Blue Mosque" or if you walked in the opposite direction it will take you the same time to reach the "Grand Bazar" , if you wanna go to Taksim square you can take the Tram the the metro that will take you in total around 20 min

If you need to change money change it from the exchange office by the main street in sultanahmet or in taksim square, don't change in the hotel and never think to change at the airport!!!

Room Tip: Ask for rooms end with 03 as example "503 or 603" it's the best ;)

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The first two nights our room looked out toward the sea and also directly into the fabricating factory that makes shoes! We could wave to the workers from our window! The best part of this hotel is the roof top terrace which provides a spectacular view out over the city and the sea. The breakfast area is also located here as well as dining for evening meals. There is plenty of choice on the breakfast buffet and they also provide your table with a pot of steaming hot coffee. We had breakfast there on four mornings and the selections were the same for each visit. Freshly squeezed orange juice was extra. We purchased our own and kept it in the mini fridge and had it first thing in the morning. There is a little shop just down the street from the entrance that sells wine, beer etc.The room itself was small but with a double bed it was fine. It was nice to be able to open the window and there was not a lot of street noise.
The last two nights at this property were in a room with no natural light at all. The window opened into a ventilation shaft but the room was quiet and the bed was comfy so we didn't mind. It also was much larger than our other room and had a nice bathroom with a tub and large vanity. It also had a mini fridge.
The staff were competent but not overly friendly as it is a busy place for tour groups coming and going and is predominantly a tourist hotel. All in all it was quite adequate for our needs and well within walking distance to some of the main attractions. It was clean and the bed linen was reasonable quality.
We ate here on the terrace one night and the buffet was quite good if you are not too fussy.
