“Galatea Bridge”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

After a day on the boat trips and the Galatea Tower, decided to walk back home over the Galatea Bridge. So many restaurants to choose from, picked the last one with the guys outside grilling the fish, fast service and plenty of food for the money. Walked along the coast road by the sea, thought about trying the free gym machines but was too full, up a couple of back streets and a welcome from the landlord, Selami and an invite to try his wifes delicious food later that night. Best apartment ever, found on TR.

“Sensory Overload (in a good way)”
Reviewed 22 July 2014 via mobile

Tram noise, rushing crowd, ferries, street vendors competing for attention, imposing mosque overhead, fishermen lining across the entire span, car/bus jamming bridge roadway, take it all in!! Be sure to grab a fish sandwich from one of the 3 sanctioned boats (a meal for 2 costs $3, can't go wrong).

“Good to spend evenign and watch sun set”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

You can plan to visit Galata bridge during evening which is on a walkable distance from main tourist areas. When you cross the bridge (towards the galata tower), at the end on the right side on the sea side there are many stalls selling tea, fish and kabab sandwiches. You can sit on the sea side and enjoy sandwich and special black Turkish tea.

“catch a fish sandwich for 6 lire”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

bridge takes you from the Bazaar area to Beyoglu,

views: are nice
fish sandwich: served from the Bazaar side is good if you are need need of a lunch snack, i was copying a local and brought what i thought was a drink, it had pickles in it and looked interested, drank my first mouthful and it turns out it was mainly vinegar! pickles went nicely with my sandwich though.

“Have to cross”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

At first glance its just a bridge, nothing special. Seeing as how you have to cross this bridge to get across the water, you can't miss the best parts of this bridge. Below you have a row of restaurants. But on top is where the best atmosphere is, rows of fishermen littered on both sides of the bridge. Great views of the Golden horn and Bosphorus as well as the old city. Best time to visit is around sunset when everyone is starting to make their way home and the view around the city really looks amazing.
