“Nice walk across”
Reviewed 23 August 2014 via mobile

If you like walking and is fit enough, this is a nice 1 km walk (one way) across the bridge to catch different sights of the tourist and local boats going up and down the Bosphorous Straights. In the middle of the bridge you will find some fishermen busy with their daily catch. On each side of the bridge there are some stairs going down to the lower level of the bridge where a lot of different seafood restaurants are situated. Although it is quite windy here on the bridge (especially the southern side to the open Marmara Sea side) you get splendid views of the nearby Bosphorous Straights. The restaurants on the northern side have nice sitting sofas and are much warmer because of the afternoon sun setting in that direction. If you are a keen photographer you will get many photo opportunities on the Galata Bridge.

“Galata bridge, a memorable place”
Reviewed 22 August 2014

We had the chance of serving one cup of tea in lower stage of Galata bridge in 25 february, this year. It is a memorable place although the weather was cold in that night, about 1:30 Am. In the restaurant building, there was a live music + dance but single men were not allowed to enter, only couples or women. This is a good policy for families attending this type of music although we were beside of sea and cold weather, but the vie was fantastic specially with music playing behind of us.
Above this bridge you can find fishermen at nights and also fish Kebab on ghary.

“GATES OF ASIA”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

You really know you are at the Gates of Asia on this bridge.

The constant movement of ferries coupled with views of one of the most vibrant cities in the world really packs a punch.

Relax in one of the bridge's cafes with a shisha and watch the world go frantically by.

“Don't miss the fish sandwiches”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

There's a lot happening at Galata Bridge but make sure you get a fish sandwich straight off the boat. Fresh fish straight off the grill, lettuce and onion in a roll. Add some lemon juice and salt and eat sitting at one of the little tables and stools. Delicious and about AUD3 each.

“Active space”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

Ok, so I didn't imagine i'd review a bridge, but in some ways this is more than a bridge. Sunday morning and it was a hive of activity from the usual street traders (slightly inflated prices) to dizens of people fishing to tourists and locsls crossing from one side to the other. And to yop it off, great views in every direction.
