Just back from Istanbul travelled on 08/06/07 to 11/06/07.
Good location 3 to 4 minute walk and in view of the Sultan Ahmed mosques and Aya Sofya. Gulhane tram stop at the end of the road, there you can get on the tram for 1.30YTL about 0.60p, buy a token at the booth on the right side. Anyway hotel was perfect for location and value for money. Breakfast was standard which included, cheese, potato wdges, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bread, salad, salami, coffe tea and more. Lounge is spacious and clean, bright and very relaxing. There is a terrace on the fifth floor, very nice to sit in with the view of the Aya Sofya. Coffee, tea and soft drinks are expansive in comparison so ask the price before ordering. The rooms were slightly tiny but we enjoyed our stay. Staffs were helpful when we requested a room change as there was a boiler next to our room. All room have air con. BY THE WAY, there are two lifts, one has no inner door and moves very fast, little dangerous as the lift is not contained and children can easily be exposed to this hazard. If you would like to try the water pipe with different flavours then pop in the cafe infront of the Erboy hotel and asked to be seated upstairs. Anyway we were four Asian lads from Oldham (Greater Manchester) and enjoyed our stay. There are lot sof Australian holiday makers, we enjoyed chatting with them and also made friends, very nice people with good humour.
