“Not bad but not good”

It's true that the location is perfect and the views from the breakfast room are wonderful. The service was kind but a little off, especially by the breakfast attendants who were, well, goofy. Our room was clean but after a quick look around the breakfast room I decided to not look too closely. We were there six nights and while we slept well and were comfortable, we were not sorry to leave. It was off-putting that the prices were expressed in Euros so that the conversion to Turkish lira at final payment was at an exchange rate set by the hotel.

We spent 3 nights in this hotel in July and we weren't satisfied. Location is just perfect , 1 minute walk from Istikal street and just in front of the Tunel with perfect connection to the tram line to Sultanhamet and to the major sightseeing ,however the hotel didn't match our expectations, our room , a standard one , was extremely small with not even a proper wardrobe to hold clothes , and no space to move around, floor coverage wasn't nice either .
In fairness , we want to highlight that hotel staff was very kind and proposed us to change room, however none of the proposed rooms was in line with our expectations , for example the rooms at the top floor seemed to be extremely hot despite airconditioning so at the end we kept the one originally assigned.
Free wifi is great and works well, breakfast takes place in a cute attic loggia , with great view of GalataTower and Istanbul old town, quality of food was just ok, with limited choice.
Net, although the hotel has some positives and the staff is kind, nevertheless we will not come back because we think we can find a better value for money in one of the other 4 nearby starshotels in the area

The location was perfect 100m from Isticlal street. Very friently staff. It's a small boutique hotel with great interior design. We recommend this place for sure, and if we will come again to Istanbul we 'll choose the same hotel! Anthony and Lydia from Athens,Greece

Room Tip: choose a room on the 4th or 5th floor there are rooms with bosporus view.

The best hotel ever , you feel like it's your home and everyone is nice like your family .
I love them so much ♡
And it's quiet and you can sleep very well , then when you wake up there is a yummy breakfast waiting you at 7 a.m
And the estklal street is very near 1 min and you will be there you don't need taxi or anything ..

Having been to Istanbul many times I researched thoroughly before I found and selected this hotel. Beautifully designed it lives up to the photos with its sleek design embedded with 19th century history of this former french mansion. In fact one could almost think they were in Paris.

The room was comfortable and bright. The beds were comfy. Travelling with a friend we stayed in room 107 which was on the street and although we booked twin beds the room had three beds. The bathroom was a little on the small side but the gorgeous collection of toiletries, super efficient hair dryer and rainbow shower made up for that.

The location was fantastic being only 2 minutes to Istiklal Cadessi but far enough to be away from the night time hustle and a stones throw from Galata tower and all the hip and happening cafes and shops in the area. It can be a little noisy on a Saturday night but any hotel in the area will be. You are still close enough to get around to all the tourist sites with the metro on your doorstep too.

Staff were ever so helpful and friendly and the breakfast was a large healthy election catering for all tastes. I hope to stay here again.

Room Tip: Next time I would book a superior room for the extra space

Our first visit to Istanbul. Good location for getting to different parts of the city easily by public transport. Quality-price ratio fine. Specially appreciated the covered roof terrace with a view for breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.

Booked this hotel on Jetsetter for a good price. Picked it because it is small, designed by Philip Staark and is steps from Istikal Street which is a long pedestrian street in a good neigborhood filled with shops and restaurants. We had room 402. Perfect corner room with a queen sized bed. The hotel is a 19th century mansion converted into just 22 rooms. Breakfast is served on the top floor, open terrace. There is a vintage elevator that serves the 4 floors, not the top floor. The hotel does not face the street, so locating it initially is a bit tricky. Also, there are several stairs to the front door from the street, so if mobility is an issue, this is not the right hotel to select. And stairs are required to be climbed to get to the top floor terrace for breakfast. Our room had wonderful views of Galata Tower and the Bosphorus. Charming room. Not big, but plenty of space for a two day tour of Istanbul. The hotel has a useful street map of the city at the front desk. The personnel were extremely helpful with dinner reservations, directions, and making us a car reservation for our flight home at the end of the trip. The hotel offers very good value as it is located in a perfect location. The Tunel Metro entrance is directly in front of the hotel.

Room Tip: Get a corner room to get views of both Galata Tower and the sea.
