We stayed here two years ago. Pleased to find still have great, helpful staff, super breakfast and room that accommodates five! We love this hotel and have recommended it to friends. Good value, outstanding location, yet quiet and all the staff are lovely and super helpful.

Room Tip: We like the Ottoman room.

If this hotel is compared to a hostel, it's not bad. If you're expecting the comforts of splurging for a hotel, it's just okay. The staff were not very helpful, except for arranging transportation to and from the airport, and the room wasn't very clean. However, the location is good and the breakfast was just right. In fact, the breakfast experience as a whole was above average; we enjoyed the terrace room and service. Also, don't forget to bring cash to pay for your stay (as opposed to a credit card).

If you want to be near to all old sites(aya sophya, topkapi palace, blue mosque) this hotel is all you need.
PROS:The hotel has a shuttle service from the airports(20€ from ataturk and 55€ from sabiha),great position, beautiful terrace, the rooms are clean, the breackfast is good(fresh fruit, cheese, ham, cakes, bread, jam and juices), kindness of all the staff
CONS:we booked two rooms(no ground floor) and when we arrived they accomodated us in a ground floor room and in a standard room( in my opinion it was not so fair),the rooms are small( you don't even have the space to open the baggage)

Room Tip: Choose a standard room, not a ground floor room

Our room was very small, but as Mashala correctly pointed out, "You have a sea view." The service from everyone associated with the hotel was first-rate: Mashala at the front desk, the housekeepers, the breakfast attendant in the rooftop eating area, and the drivers from and to the airport. The location is superb, near a street full of restaurants and an easy walk to every sight in the oldest part of the city. And the price is reasonable. We were introduced to the owner and we were treated as if we had been coming to this hotel for many years. Excellent.

As always, booked our stay at Handen reading reviews from Trip Advisor.
I was a bit skeptical about the location - i presumed it would be in some narrow bylane, but the location was just perfect - walking distance from Sultanahmet, tram station, the sea ... everything !! And the lane is full of the best restaurants in town - where one can feast on Turkish cuisine any time of the day. We spent most of the evenings walking around ..

Check in was smooth & we were cheerfully helped by Sezgin (a very soft spoken person) to take our stuff all the way to our room. He was very helpful in helping us decide our itinerary & suggested on things to do during our stay.
The rooms are basic & clean.
The breakfast is amazing, served everyday at the rooftop with breathtaking views - overlooking the sea & Blue Mosque, by a very sweet lady...
Mashallah also met us the next day (he is more talkative than Sezgin !!) and helped us plan our day.
Overall, highly recommended - great value for money :)

Room Tip: ask for the sea facing rooms, while you book. Also, no elevators .. so travel light !!

I can only agree with the comments of Stanbury99 and others. I arrived at Ataturk airport and was greeted by a driver who took me directly to the hotel. I was then greeted by a gentleman at the reception desk who took me to my room, I would like to pay special attention to the housekeeper man who assisted me in calling a tour company that failed to pick me up. He rang on my behalf and help sort the problem out.
Yes I was given the royal treatment with a view of the sea and can only criticize the lack of towel rails to hang wet towels.
The location is very good close to all the restaurants mosques etc. as well close to the trams and the metro. I was able to go back to the airport by tram and then connect with the metro. All in all it only took 45 minutes to arrive at Ataturk airport for about 4 lira...very cheap transport.
The Turkish breakfast was excellent and well laid out.

Room Tip: Ask for the room at the top overlooking the sea. Good breeze as well.
