The staff was exceptional and ready to help in anyway...both in and outside of the hotel.

The reception and common eating area is extremely pleasant. It was a joy to eat breakfast there or have an afternoon tea/coffee.

The rooms are modern in terms of decoration and design, but ours was bit on the small side. We had small luggages therefore it wasn't an issue, but I imagine it could be if we were visiting for a longer time with bigger bags.

We loved it. As a Concept Hotel, SuB offered to us an amazing experiance. This is the number one service we have ever tried like this. Because of their staff is always willing to help us when we need an advise or etc. And the concept of hotel is very nice. When the breakfast time we were feel in the Alice in wonderland. Yes it is small but service and design are above all of them.

We've spent a great weekend at the Sub Hotel. We had a great welcome, very nice guy from the reception gave us helpful advices about the city and the neighborhood. The room was cozy and comfortable with a great bed. Breakfast was nice (typical turkish) and was included in the price of the room. We would only wish it could be more diverse. We had dinner at this cafe and it was also great. Location of the Hotel is very convenient, it's just a few minutes walk to Galata Bridge and to tram stations. Overall we didn't expect such a high standart of service, comfort and design for that price (we paid around 90 Euros per night).

next time we will go (couple, 38-35 yrs old) to Istanbul we will definitely check in once again at the SUB hotel.
room/breakfast was very nice, friendly staff and as said in the title, the main attractioins are within walking reach (i.e. Galata tower approx. 10 min. - amazing views in the morning/sunset).

I have spent 6 days with my friend at SuBhotel in Istanbul. Arriving there was a warm welcome. It is an creative, original hotel with the best service and a special atmosphere. Especially the turkish breakfast is delicious! Nice beds as well. Great location for all sightseeing and nice cafes and bars. I would recommend everybody to stay over at SubHotel.

We had an extremely good weekend stay at Sub Hotel. Three of us booked one of their Family rooms - basically adjoining rooms, which was great so we had two bathrooms for our group. While the rooms are cozy, the decor is very stylish.

Location was quite good - very close to the tram which takes you across the Galata bridge and into the Sultanahmet area for sightseeing. It's also walkable (though uphill) to Beyoglu for shops and restaurants.

Breakfast was a great inclusion - good food and coffee.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful in providing guidance for getting around the city.

What a surprise Sub hotel!
I found it casually but i think to reload this
great experience early.
On our arrival a person behind the reception offers us (very gently man)
an exquisite breakfast.
This is a modern boutique hotel but with
an old soul of hospitality.
I recommend this location to all Istanbul's visitors like the best accomodation for room's beauty and easyway hotel's staff.
Sub hotel please don't change mood of life ad..price

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Given the boggling variety of architectural and design styles that crowd the eye in Istanbul, perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised to find the industrial-chic SuB Hotel in Karaköy (née Galata), the ancient commercial and cultural core of the city. And yet, let’s be honest: it is a bit of a surprise. SuB Hotel, quirky capitalization and all, looks more like a place you’d find in Greenpoint (Brooklyn) or Neukölnn (Berlin) than in the oldest part of one of history’s great crossroads of civilizations. ... more   less
