This place is located in very central location, so lots of people used to eat there. But hamburgers and other foods they serve are very unhealthy. Besides, personnel and owner of the place are very rude. If you do not want to have a unpleasent experience, keep away from this fast food restaurant.

what is this ? is this safe ?
a small hamburger joint in city center that is known for midnight snacks.
used to be a great place when they were the only one around there, before we knew better.
went there for old times sake and came to realize that this is strange - tastes good - but is strange.
there has always been rumors about what they use, and finally, after knowing better, I agree.
To be safe, try the numerous other places along side Kizilkayalar.
Make sure to look for the shop names as they blend in nicely with their neighbors.
Oh, to top things off, the grumpy owner might mistreat you!

I know it sounds nasty, I first heard of it on Anthony Bourdain’s show and he seemed to have enjoyed it immensely. My travel buddy and I were just strolling along the trendy Taksim neighborhood and there it was, just like the one I’ve seen in the show, burgers staked in a glass “incubator” where they are kept warm/hot/wet.. sounds like a hot mess already.. Lisa and I looked at each other and decided to share one. OMG, you won’t believe it, soft, fluffy, chewy bun coated in bright orange garlic infused tomato sauce with juicy patty in between. The surface of it was kinda like the Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts with sticky glaze surface but instead of being sweet, it’s savory and slightly spicy. It’s been voted as one of the best street foods in Istanbul, even though it’s been described as drunk’s best friend, it tasted every bit delicious sober!

In the heart of Taksim Square, this little buffet is one of Istanbul locals' favorites. It is famous for the spicy 'wet burger' shortly called 'islak' in Turkish dipped in a garlic tomato sauce. Other favorites includes 'kasharli doner durum' (Doner Wrap with Cheese) and lemonade, ayran (yogurt drink) or fresh fruit juice coctail as drink. There is very limited and mostly standing space inside, so many people just eats standing outside on the street.
