“A Nice hotel, not too thrilled with the service”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

Was there for a week, in April, 2014 for spring break with my family.
The reception staff for most part able to assist our needs though they are not fluent in english. Rooms were clean but the cleaning staff did not come to arrange the room every day.
The cab service from the hotel was awesome, since there was little to no wait for group of 8 that were touring. Overall satisfied with my stay.

The hotel is modern, clean with nice rooms. The Restaurant was ok but tended to serve the same thing everyday. So it got boring. Staff were relatively friendly but as if often the problem in Turkey no one speaks anything but English. We had a hard time ordering "water" in the restaurant.

I did not like the location its far from all the sights. But I guess its priced accordingly.

Room Tip: Get a Bosphorus View

New place, nice staff.

Mind you, I travel a lot and take massage whenever I can to help with cramps and back pain. So I did it here, and it was good. But then they offered the Turkish bath. I took it out of curiosity. It was best ever spa / massage experience. Hard to describe the ritual of scrubbing, foaming, massage. Just make a leap of trust and try it. The bath master is a very experienced professional. Hotel was great, bath was unforgettable.

Very good hotel, its new, hight ended decor. The suite was great, the bed was like heaven! very big suite and the bathroom was amazing, there is a tub where you can relax with the city view! You can see the lovely bosphorus view from the social room and that was lovelly wake up with that present in the morning! The lounge was ok, not so wow but with a few options of food and drinks... breakfast was also ok. Its a 10 minutes ride to the Taksin street, what isnt that bad!

Room Tip: the suite with at the 14 floor was great! has the bosphorus view

Stayed for a week during an international conference. Even though it was about 3 miles from the convention center, I didn't regret staying here because it is such a modern hotel with fantastic rooms, great shower, and is apparently safe (there is a security screener in operation as you walk in - all bags get scanned). Check-in was a breeze, and I was upgraded to a junior suite, which was wonderful (great bed, two TVs, two bathrooms, spacious living area, and nice desk to work at). The lobby is spacious, but was usually empty in the evenings, and part of that could be due to the fact that a 250 mL bottle of diet pepsi will cost you 14 Lira (that's approximately $7), while a beer ranges from 19-24. A cocktail will set you back 35 Lira. Certainly not a welcoming place to hangout and drink. Had dinner there a few times and again quite expensive. Tried both the living room bistro and Arts restaurant. At Arts I tried the hamburger that is advertised in the lobby as the best burger ever. Not! Looked and tasted like a regular burger, nothing special (unless the 32 Lira price makes you think it tastes better). Also had the Penne Arriabbiata for 24, which was okay. The executive lounge was open (I read a review previously that it was closed permanently), and had some nice treats. My only complaint was that there was no cooler with sodas that one could get at anytime of the day as is quite common in most other Marriott hotel concierge lounges. Rather, at the evening serving the staff would bring in a few bottles in an ice bucket and after a couple of hours it was all taken back. I was lucky to find a gas station close by to purchase sodas to keep me going. It would be nice if management would remove all the over priced drinks from the minibar so the guests could use the mini fridge for their own beverages etc. Overall, it was a nice stay in a great hotel with helpful staff (e.g., giving good tips about the surroundings and translating to the cab drivers so one gets where you want or need to be). I will seriously consider staying again in the future.

A great hotel away from the tourist crush; yet still a great location. I chose this location for business, and could not be happier. All of the requisite business amenities readily available. Location allows for easy access to all parts of the city; both Europe and Asia side. This is a great choice when in Istanbul. *View of Bosphorus is incredible: end your day with a view from the rooftop bar.

We just got back after a week stay. We had 3 rooms and there were 8 of us. This is a city hotel which means the rooms are a bit smaller. Very modern rooms. However the rooms and the bathrooms were in great shape. The views from the hotel was brilliant. The staff was the best part of this hotel. They were extremely pleasant, very helpful and courteous. A special mention to the 2 Navigators, Anil and Hasan who were brilliant in helping us with the sight seeing. We did not use the trips they arranged but their suggestions were amazing. The other staff member who deserves a special shout out to is the bell boy, Mehren(may be I am spelling it badly). He worked the day shift and he was great. Found us taxis, gave up great tips about do's and dont's. Great hotel. Thanks.

Room Tip: Spend a few bucks and get the Bosphorous view
