Pros:
Location was at the end of Takhsim next to the taxis and Havas buses which is convenient. Also, the hamam is nice.

That's all for the pros.

Requested a high up non smoking room. The front desk person shook his head acknowledging the request. I then got a small room on the second floor overlooking air conditioning units. When our own AC turned on, it blew in cigarette smoke from other units. We were sick the second morning we woke up.

In addition, the gym is way outdated with only a few machines and dumbells. Also something that shocked me, an unheated indoor pool. Really???? Indoor and unheated???? Wow.

Something happened that was a concern was we came back to our room late in the day to see that housekeeping had not come to clean and change the linens. We noticed our beds had been moved and a cup we used in the morning was now in the bathroom. Not sure what had happened but we suspect someone came in and left.

Don't waste your money. There are much better hotels in the same class in Istanbul.

The location is what makes it worth. Right next to Taksim square. Surrounded by restaurants, cafes, & Hookha places. 5 mins walk to Istikal street , the street for shopping in the day and turns into a total party place in the night , the Clubs in this street like other places in Istanbul are full on till 4-5 a.m.

I stayed at the hotel during a business trip five days in April 2014. The hotel is comfortable, very clean, with very friendly staff, quiet. Had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel and every time the food was excellent, varied and tasty. The only problem is that there is a very small bar in the hotel behind the reception, but a larger smokers area, which if you don't smoke is a problem. However it's not cheap at 120 euros a night it's quite pricey. Location is very good too. 1 minute walk from the airport Shuttles to Attaturk and other airport and near Taksim square so you can explore easily. There is a small gym, which is OK, but not brilliant and a swimming pool and hamam which I didn't try.

We arrived rather early for check in, but our 2 rooms were ready and we were checked in in less than 15 minutes, during which we were offered coffee and tea. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they took care of our every need. The rooms are not spacious but very clean and functional, and the location is great and central, yet the side street on which the hotel is located is not too noisy. We had breakfast once at the hotel, as it was not included in the rate, and it was fine. Internet connection is also good and no complaints there.
The beds were amazing. Very very comfortable. However, the catch is the air-conditioning which you cannot control from your room. You have only on/off options, although there's a control unit, but we still failed to get much cool air out of it. Although it was cool outside, opening the window was not an option as the room would fill with kebab smell in no time, thanks to the many restaurants around.
We had 2 small bottles of water everyday, plus coffee, tea and kettle in the room.
In general, I recommend this hotel, and would go back again.

Room Tip: All the rooms look similar in size and have no view. We stayed in 310 & 311.

Nice hotel, fairly new. I had a king room, pretty nice, clean, quiet, location is perfect. not much natural light but given that u will not be staying at the hotel all the time does not really matter. Clean and nice bathroom. Unlike some of the reviews here i found the room to actually be fairly a good size. Enough closet space. The biggest draw back, internet connection, it is free but horrible. So if you are traveling on business and need internet, better off if not stay here.

I came to Istanbul for a meeting being held at the Istanbul Convention and Exhibition Center. Was looking for a good and affordable hotel near by and found Ramada.
Its a small hotel but really clean and well kept.
Staff are very friendly and polite; my friend and I got hot Turkish tea on arrival.
The rooms are really good and I really liked the bathrooms. They have a wonderful shower; something I missed in previous hotels.
The breakfast was very good (but cost 20 euros as we had not booked it earlier).
One PROBLEM was the air conditioning. When I switched my rooms AC on it gave hot air. On inquiring with the reception; they told me that the AC is only for heating not for cooling :)
They suggested to leave the windows open; but the noise outside was irritating.
