The Irish love a good laugh and in this case it's over the $14 pints of Guinness. Went to watch the advertised State of Origin but they couldn't even get the feed to work. My pint probably also paid for their monthly subscription to satellite TV. Horrible experience.

The most expensive pint I could find in Istanbul - easily twice the local price for a pint of Efes. Three stars awarded as they have a great range of Fullers, Kwak etc etc.

Liked the position and the decoration. Good selection of beers and spirits. Did not eat there so cannot comment. Pub is attached to the hotel and you have to leave the pub and go behind the reception of the hotel to find the toilets. More expensive for a beer here than the West End of London.

We stopped in for a drink after dinner and a wander around the blue mosque. Unless you are really thirsty, don't bother!! Place was empty and the drinks were expensive. Decor mock-English and we left when Eye of the Tiger came on the sound system...

We stayed at a hotel just up the road from here and noticed it on the drive to the hotel.
From the moment we first went in we were made to feel welcome and the service was excellent.
The prices were high, 15TL for a lager and 25TL for a Guinness, but your in a big city so what do you expect.
Didn't eat there but the food we saw looked OK.
'Bill Bailey' behind the bar was a good laugh and handy having all the football on from all over Europe.
All in all worth a visit.
