As it lacks many facilities such as a bar and public areas (apart from an outside terrace which due to weather was not in use) The Premist is more of a B&B than an hotel. It is located in the midst of many of the major sites and is both welcoming and clean. Having stayed there for three nights recently I'm afraid that these are really the only positive points.

We were pleased to be upgraded to their room with a balcony, but thankfully we weren't paying extra for it! We had to stagger up three floors of narrow stairs without a lift only to discover a room which was rather small with barely room for our suitcase. In the bathroom there was no space to even put a small wash bag and the window blind was also bent and battered. The air conditioning did not appear to function properly, making this room at top of the building both airless and claustrophobic.

The staff in both reception and the breakfast room were extremely helpful. However, the breakfast lacked variety.

The Hotel is located next to a main taxi rank, which meant that throughout the night there were taxis, often blowing their horns and numerous loud conversations. This combined with the noise of tyres accelerating on the cobbles (particularly bad in the rain) the odd noisy stereo, and the air brakes on coaches made sleep extremely difficult! And as if this wasn't bad enough even the floorboards creaked!

Room Tip: Choose a room on a low floor on the quiet side of the hotel

Dear guest,
Thank you for your time to share your impressions on Tripadvisor.
As we are a new hotel, either positive or negative feedback are valuable for us to improve our service standards and quality.
We are really sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant stay and we were not able to make you satisfy with our services.
I need to explain this; as we are a boutique style hotel we do not have a bar as like the others. And also because of having a historical building we are not allowed to change the shapes of the rooms and put an elevator.
We will share your comments with our general manager and try to prevent them not be experienced by another guests.
I want you to know that we would always happy to welcome you here and compensate your dissatisfaction for your next visit.

Regards,

We chose this hotel based on other travelers feedback and because we were looking for a quiet boutique hotel in Istanbul. The rooms are small but charming which suited us fine. However, the hotel is divided in to three separate buildings and the door to our building was almost never locked so anyone had access which did not feel secure. Also, the doors were heavy and would slam shut at night as guests returned to their rooms which repeatedly woke us. The breakfast was good (orange juice is amazing) but every morning there were issues with service and food. At first we thought it was just because we had come down a bit late first day, but in fact we came down at a different time each day and there were always issues with there being no eggs, no sausage, or no way to get coffee which seemed odd. All in all, hotel is very well located but it is in an extremely touristy area and was too noisy for us.

I need to say that,it seems a bit unfairly to say that you could not find any egg or sausage. Our kitchen team is always around in case of any require.
And also,we would prefer to know and solve your problems while you were staying here.
Nevertheless,we would always happy to welcome you here and compensate your dissatisfaction for your next visit.

The Premist Hotel is located within the heart of Sultan Hamet which is home to the greatest sights of Istanbul. A stone's throw away from the Topkapi Palace, The Blue Mosque, Hagha Sofiya, Basillica Cistern and many more.

Mustafa, Ramzan (front office managers) and the rest of the staff were always more than willing to help us and give us recommendations about restaurants, tourist sights, hammams (Traditional Turkish bath) etc.

They also offered us fresh juice on arrival and Turkish coffee on departure, helped with booking restaurants. To top it up we also got upgraded to a deluxe room with a balcony.

It was an amazing three days and I would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: We stayed on the third floor which may be a bit difficult if you have problems climbing up staircases as the hotel does not have a lift. The best room is 2301 as this is the only room in the hotel with a balcony facing the river.

Stayed at the Premist for 4 nights in early April, well what a fabulous hotel, the location was excellent, just walked out of the door after breakfast and there you were, in front of the Topkapi Palace, which is next door to the Blue Mosque which is metres from the Basilica Cistern, you couldn't have asked for a better place for location, staff were very helpful and the rooms were very comfortable after a long day out and about, couldn't have asked for anywhere better, even the weather was t-shirt weather.

We always check the reviews and read them only to have an idea of the place but haven't written before for somewhere. But Premist is worth to do that!! We stayed 4 nights at the hotel Premist. We booked here because the location is perfect. the main tourist attractions are only 5 min. away from the hotel. We loved the design! the rooms are furnished perfectly!! I even asked for the brand of the bed to the staff because slept just like a baby. It was the most comfortable bed ever that I slept in before. We love turkish culture, food etc. but the breakfast is our favorite meal so Premist offers an amazing variety of breakfast. Service is great. Staff always go out of their way to help. To sum up, do not waste your time to researching the best hotel.. just book for it.
