Inncity Hotel Nisantasi
Ranked #497 of 1,163 Hotels in Istanbul
Reviewed 5 June 2014

Location is good in terms of being near the metro, however it is further out from a lot of the tourist destinations in the old city part of Istanbul. But we really liked the location as we enjoyed being in the Nisantasi area, there's lots of "hip and modern" eateries in that area and all the luxury shops are just nearby. We also like to walk around cities as it lets us see what the city is really like. There is also lots of convenience stores around the area within a 5 mins walk to pick up snacks and water.

Took a taxi to and from the airport, costs roughly 50 TYR and will take anywhere between 30-60 mins depending on the traffic. Make sure you have a print out of the hotel address etc as not all the taxi drivers know where it is.

There is a cat park just nearby the hotel, the locals really look after the "street" cats in that area. Just be wary of some of the drug addicts in that park (can't miss them with their paper bags), they may come ask you for money. There are also lots of street kids who ask you for money, the locals recommend you to only give them 1-2 Lira but you can also say no and they will walk away. Otherwise we had no issues and didn't feel unsafe in Istanbul.

Hotel is quite new and on the smaller side, there are only 4 rooms per floor. Our hotel room was very large (one of the largest we've had throughout Europe). Bathroom was very large with a large long shower and also has a bidet for those of you who like that. Bed was very comfortable and easy to fall asleep in. We couldn't change the temperature on our air con while we were there which was a little annoying as it was very warm. We had to open our doors but Istanbul is so traffic heavy it was quite loud and hard to sleep. Couldn't hear anything from the outside except for emergency vehicles when the glass doors were shut.

Large new TV with only the usual english news channels. We had no problems with wi-fi it was fast and no drop out. Room was always cleaned really well towards the end of the day.

We had breakfast a couple of times, it is decent but we much preferred to go to the Nisantasi area and have breakfast at the cafes there.

Reception and breakfast staff all speak some level of english, the housekeeping staff don't speak any. The staff were really friendly and helpful, we did find one lady really pushy about booking for us a restaurant for dinner.

TIP:
If you are going to take the metro everywhere, suggest you get their metro card as the fare is cheaper on the card than if you buy a tourist pass (though I have found all over the world tourist transport cards to ALWAYS be more expensive).
You can buy the card (10 Lira) just near the metro entrance on the opposite side of the road at the booth near the escalators, go to the small window and ask for a card from there.

This was my first time staying at the Inncity Hotel and I picked it because of the many good reviews this hotel received. I was a bit surprised to find such a small and not at all business traveler friendly hotel. I have stayed at hotels for the same price in the same region which offer better services suited to business travelers.

The hotel entrance is quite dark, there is also no real lobby, just some sofa chairs by the reception. On the first floor, there is another sitting area which is comfortable but quite loud as you hear everything that goes on at reception.

The entire hotel is quite dark, especially the "restaurant" which is really not inviting to have a cup of tea during the afternoon. Also, during the day there is constant music playing throughout the hotel that you can even hear in your room.

The rooms itself are okay-sized, nothing special decor-wise, bathroom quite big. Rooms are not very well isolated, I heard every move of my neighbour.

Overall, okay hotel, however I didn't have the fascinating experience many other travelers had.

Only 10 min walk to istanbul congress center. Excellent hospitality and service makes you feel at home and pampered. Good location. Staff were incredibly efficient and helpful. Good sized room and comfortable bed. I would not hesitate to go back any time

I had high expectations of this hotel from the reviews, so we were looking forward to our one night stay at the end of our Istanbul trip. The location is good, in the upmarket district of Nisantasi, with many high end shops and a good selection of restaurants. The room was a good size and tastefully furnished. However the lighting was rather poor. There is a nice big mirror, but the room is too dimly lit for it to be effective. More lighting would also be useful around the main working area. We like firmer mattresses and found the bed too soft. The air-conditioning was also not working. Worst of all, though, someone barged into our room in the morning while we were still in bed, before quickly shutting the door again. The rooms weren't being cleaned at the time, and besides we had pressed the "lock" light on the door, so either it wasn't working or someone was not being attentive. I can only assume it was an honest mistake, but not a nice way to be woken up.

There was free wifi, but it was extremely slow the evening we checked in - effectively non existent. We tried unsuccessfully to check in for our flight home, and we went down to the reception and business centre - still no luck. It kicked in again the next morning, but being sporadic and unreliable was a negative.

On the positive side, the staff were very pleasant, the shower was great (though the shower knob is a bit fiddly behind the tap and not immediately obvious) and the breakfast spread was good. But our short stay was disappointing overall.

A very nice hotel with excellent room standard and excellent service! The location is conveniently central, a quite calm small street away from busy traffic. Highly recommendable for both business trips and holiday stays.

I have really enjoyed my visit at Inncity. Easy walk to awesome restaurants,Cafes,Shops and tourist attractions. I was really happy with the location since great location which is closed to Istanbul Congress Center. In a short definition "A new clean hotel in which you can feel yourself at home". Rooms are great decorated with a luxury bath combination. The Staff was really friendly and helpful.I am sure that I am going to visit Inncity Hotel during my visits to Istanbul.

First of all i felt like i was at home the stuff is really friendly, my room was cosy nice and clean and the location couldn't be any better.. the metro is only 2 min. away from the hotel and i could walk to taksim square in 10 min.( one of istanbul's best place) it was very close to the shops and so many beautiful restaurants and cafes etc. but the best thing was the turkish breakfast at the hotel it was traditioanal and i've tried so many different cheese, home made jam, turkish sauceage and eggs it's mouth watering.. i definitely go back to inncity hotel.
