“QUAINT AND CUTE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 March 2014

lively, pleasant, shopping, coffee shops, the pomegranate stalls on the road, the buzz of all the tourist, how people greet you as you are walking by, when you stop and walk into the shops the first thing they ask you would you like some chai, or coke or turkish coffee, for me I do not like turkish coffee at all its far too strong and muddy,

“Sultanahmet dining”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 November 2013

If your staying in Sultanahmet, this is the place to eat in the evenings. It's within walking distance of most hotels and attractions, and the street is packed with restaurants both sides. You'll have to run the gauntlet of those trying to attract you in to each establishment, but take that in your stride and pick somewhere with a table that you can people watch from or, depending on the time of year, that has either patio heating or a fire inside. Don't worry too much about scrutinising the menus of individual restaurants; they are all pretty much the same at similar prices.

“Restaurants Aplenty”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 October 2013

We stayed at the top end of the street at the Alaturka. Most days we would walk this street passing an endless number of restaurants and small shops. Everyone is very friendly, especially the Restaurant operators later in the day who you want you to eat in their restaurant. If not interested just keep walking. All very quaint and lots of good banter.

“Great place to find food and watch the world go by”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2013

Most of the restaurants in this street are have similar menu's & prices, so the art is to pick the ones with the most comfortable seats & best atmosphere. It is quite fun watching the antics of the waiters trying to attract customers (especially the girls) it their establishments.

Well worth seeking out.
