“First stay but probably not the last”
Reviewed 24 July 2013

It was the first time we have been to Istanbul and didn’t know what to expect in the way of accommodation, so we chose the Eurostars hotel for the simple reason that we have used the chain before and were quite satisfied. Now having visited the city, I know we could have chosen almost any hotel and not have been disappointed. Most of the hotels we saw from the outside would have satisfied our needs.
Having said that, our stay the Eurostars was most enjoyable. The service from the reception staff was first rate and, when we first arrived, we were given a choice of three rooms and were given a guided tour to see them. The hotel entrance is in a small side street, away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag. It is also so convenient for the harbor, and all the tourist hotspots. The bazaars are maybe 15 minutes walk away at most and it takes 15 or 20 minutes on foot to get to the main tourist attraction – the Blue Mosque.
The rooms were on the small side but we were only staying for 4 nights and it was no problem. They were very well appointed and we were most impressed with a TV hidden behind a smoked glass mirrored wall – very 21st century.
The breakfast couldn’t be faulted. There was an extensive selection including hot food. All in all, I’d mark the hotel very highly and it was reasonable value for money. I’d recommend it.
If I went again to Istanbul, which I fully intend to do, I’d seriously consider staying again at the Eurostars. However, now that I’ve seen the old city, I wouldn’t be apprehensive about choosing another hotel.

Room Tip: The reception staff will offer you the choice of rooms but if they don't, just ask to see what...

The best feature of the hotel is its location, 1 min walk to the Sirkesi metro station and 5 min Walk to Eminonu bus and ferry station. The rooms are quiet small and a little bit old! But it has a clean bathroom. We has really bad view from our room.

Room Tip: Rooms with street view are the best!

In general the Hotel is good but the rooms are small and it has no view. The staff are nice and helpful. the location is good for who wants to stay in Fatih area because it is near many main attractions sites in the old city .It serves good breakfast.

Room Tip: Room should be not in back side

This hotel was a great find for my family and I. Well located near the great tourist sights in the old city, e.g. Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Galata Tower, etc, this hotel is also surrounded by restaurants and shops and also near to the Galata Bridge across the Golden Horn. The hotel is new, clean and functional. The family room we had was bright, well furnished and quiet, in spite of facing the main road. The staff were friendly and attentive and offered advice readily on where to go, etc. A further bonus was found next door where the most attractive Turkish Delight and Baklava shop we have ever seen is located. The neighborhood itself was bustling with restaurants and shops where everyone was friendly and we felt very safe even when venturing out at night. We had a great stay in Istanbul and could look forward every night to returning to a safe and warm haven in the hotel.

Stayed in the hotel for 5 nights with the family, rooms are tight and small where you can't move comfortably, the rooms with street view are ok but the rest hotel rooms are small and smelly, the rooms in the back of the hotel are noisy with windows that are overlooking other old buildings windows and parking dogs all night long, also you can hear the people next room and the people in the corridor cause of no insulation.
The receptionist named Zaied wouldn't be a much of a help unless you arrange for a tour or a driver thru him to get his commission from tourist companies that he deals with.

stayed there for 6 nights great location, nice interiors and fantastic service. very near(walking distance) to all the main attractions of the old city i.e. new mosque, grand bazaar, Egyptian spice market, galata bridge and off course our all time favourite Hafiz mustafa was just next door.
A sure recommendation.

Room Tip: take the front view room if possible .

Our room was clean, spacious and the hotel was in a great location - both for day touring and the myriad of interesting shops and restaurants to enjoy later in the evening. Though the breakfast is not so exciting, we have found that compared to Western tastes this seems to be the case a bit just about wherever we travelled in Turkey. Anyway, pastries, yoghurts, fruit, cheeses and fresh vegetables so quite a good range to start the day. Also found that the staff were uniformly eager to assist. Would be happy to return.

Room Tip: We were on the 4th floor and barely ever heard a sound. No complaints.
