A well located, well presented and welcoming place. We stayed in the sixth floor suite; it was a good size and tastefully furnished. Beds were a generous size and with good linen. Bathroom spacious and bright. The kitchenette was perfect for brewing a warm drink. Double glazing ensured a quiet night's sleep. Within the shadow of the Galata Tower, the Louis gives easy access to Istiklal/Taksim or down to the Galata Bridge. There is a range of cafes nearby (we liked Cafe Privato) and its a short walk to the delights of the restored the Pera Palace hotel for a cake and tea. Host Umur was tremendous. Only slight quibble, the Louis Apartments are tastefully discreet, but bolder signage would help taxis find it!

Stayed in their basic room for two nights and was treated like royalty. The rooms are big, have a seating area, and a small kitchenette. The management was super helpful, and provided lots of excellent advice. Central location, but requires a bit of hiking as they are up a hill. Would stay again, highly recommended.

We stayed in Louis appartement for 3 nights in December and I must say, the manager, Omur and his very personal welcome is a true reflection of Turkish' warmth. The room was impeccable, everything was spotless and clean and the personal welcome letter, notes and touches from Omur adds to the charm of this place. The location of thi apartement is great, a 5 minute walk down to the Galata bridge, a stone throw (if you are a good pitcher) away from Galata Tower where there are shops and restaurants (with roof heating on the top, the first we ever saw! allowing you to still si toutside eventho its a bit chilly) and about 10 minutes walk to Istiklal street. The bed is ohhh so comfortable! The kind that you soemtimes dont want to get out from. Eventhough its hard to find much fault on this hotel apartment, the only thing I can say is if you consider it as an apartment, the kitchen is very small and basic (so if youre thinking of cooking a decent meal, it wont be very practical, but okey just to cook simple meals or breakfast) but this was not a problem at all for us then. I would really recommend this place to those who want to stay in a quiete street but very close to all the main attractions including a good an inbetweener between the Europe and Asian attarctions or sights.

Room Tip: The higher the rooms, the bigger (and ofcourse pricier) it is. The Galata Tower suite is the only 1...

We stayed five nights at this brand new apartment hotel. the service was exceptionally warm starting from the first welcome e-mail. Omur an his staff welcomed us with tea (sic), and guided our first steps in the neighbourhood and helped us in finding nice restaurants and services.

The location was optimal for strolling around Galata tower and Istiklal avenue, and only a 10-min walk from Galata bridge and Karakoy tram stop. The nearest bars and supermarket were 100 m from the door, yet the area was very quiet at night ( but did not feel unsafe).

The rooms met our expectations, they were big enough for two, bed was firm and clean, and the kitchen well equipped for diy breakfast. The bathroom was a bit on the small size.

In summary, our stay was very pleasant one, and we can recommend Louis Apartments to other travellers.

Room Tip: We had Superior Suite on 2nd floor, very good value for money.

We stayed at Louis Appartments for a long weekend in Istanbul, and absolutely loved it. We were upgraded from a Junior Suite to a Superior Suite with a separate kitchen/dining area and a small balcony. The decor of our suite was really beautiful, with stylish decor and very comfortable amenities, like extra feather pillows, a DVD player, satellite TV, Nespresso maker and full kitchen. We felt like we had our own little home in Istanbul. The staff were available to help if we need them (and they were really helpful!), but they were also "invisible", giving the impression that we were staying in our own apartment. A nice way to feel at home in a new city!. The location of the hotel is fantastic, very close to the Galata Tower and also to the nightlife in the Beyoglu/Taksim area. We were able to walk to many restaurants and bars, and also walked down the hill to take the tram to other parts of the city. We were sad to leave and will definitely go back to this fabulous hotel! Thanks to Louis Appartements for making our stay so enjoyable!

Room Tip: All the rooms are very nice and have a kitchenette and a seating area, but the larger suites have a...

Stayed for just one night in the Tower Suite and loved it. I suggest taking the transport offered by the hotel which was quite reasonably priced (60 Euro return from the airport) as the hotel is down a very narrow street in an area filled with narrow streets. The area doesn't look too impressive when you first arrive and I was initially worried. However, once you get through the doors it's a whole different world. The place and staff are lovely. I was offered a drink, turkish delight and chocolates while registering. One of the staff brought me to a money changer nearby when I had mentioned that I had forgotten to change currency.

The Tower Suite was gorgeous with a Terrace overlooking the Galata Tower. You could see the Bosphorus and the Blue Mosque in the distance. The room had a tiny partial kitchen and they provided Nespresso and a small bottle of champagne. The bathroom had a claw foot bathtub with a hand-held shower. There was no separate shower area. The area around the hotel is full of character with narrow cobbled streets, quaint shops, many cafes and Istiklal Avenue, which is a huge shopping street, was just around the corner. As another reviewer has mentioned, there are good fruit shops near by. No room is perfect so I should highlight some minor issues. The area is full of life and there was some street noise at various times but it didn't affect my sleep (and I am a light sleeper). The room has skylights which you can cover if you are tall enough which I wasn't (I'm not very tall). Again it wasn't a major issue. The place stands out on the basis of its charm, location and warmth of the staff. I would recommend it very highly.

Room Tip: Tower Suite has a lovely terrace with excellent views

Our expectations were truly exceeded when we stayed in these apartments. The management and staff went out of their way to provide 'above and beyond' service with exceptional courtesy and promptness. The apartment was spotless, tastefully appointed, serviced immaculately - linen was crisp and good quality. Yes the kitchen is limited but fine for making breakfast and snacks. There are wonderful cheap cafes nearby so you would not contemplate cooking anything other than toast.
There were lovely touches, like welcoming chocolates and coffee, and the manager Omur does extend a very gracious and generous reception to his guests. Our requests for assistance in finding out of the way places were met with efficient and effective responses. This accommodation was the highlight of our 8 week trip in Europe.

Room Tip: Upper rooms have a good view
