This hotel is very close to all the major sites in Istanbul. The staff of this hotel is excellent and rooms are very nice. They also offer free tea and cakes at the reception 24 hrs. Overall a very good option for stay in Istanbul.

This was our first trip to Istanbul and we chose this hotel because of its location just a street away from the historic centre.
We were collected at the airport and transported free of charge to the hotel where we were greeted by Yusuf the hotel manager/partner.
He is a fountain of information and helped us save loads of time and effort with advice about transport, places to visit, restaurants and was always interested to find out how we had enjoyed our day.
The hotel is small and well managed. The rooms are very comfortable with all the facilities needed for a very pleasant stay, hot showers, toiletries, comfortable beds, free sodas and water in the fridge, T V and free Wi -fi.
Everyone of the staff went out of their way to attend to our needs. They were always pleasant..
On our return each evening, tea and the most delicious cakes awaited us and was served immediately.
Breakfast was served on the top floor and was very good .
To Yusuf, Ebru and all the staff, thank you.
We highly recommend this hotel.

We just returned from a three night stay at this wonderful hotel and had an excellent experience. This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Sultanahmet, just steps away from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Sultanahmet train station. It is also about a 10-15 minutes walk from the Grand Bazaar and just a bit further to the Spice Market. This excellent location meant we didn't waste any time or money on transportation. We were able to take the train from Sultanahmet station to Taksim using the simple directions given to us by the hotel, who also recommended we get the Istanbul card to save us even more money. The hotel is surrounded by a multitude of places to eat and shop.

We had two rooms (one single and one double) and they were both small, but very comfortable and nicely decorated and came equipped with everything we needed for a very pleasant stay, including complimentary water and soda (the water is refilled as many times as you like). The service at the hotel was outstanding, and everyone on the staff made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The hotel serves a good, hot breakfast every morning and also tea/coffee and a variety of sweets each afternoon, all complimentary. The hotel staff went out of their way to help us plan our activities, get us checked in for our flights early and arranged for a taxi to the airport and saw us off at 3 AM!! They arranged our airport transfers both ways, one of which was complimentary and the other cost us only 20 Euros, which is a deal considering the airport is a good 30-40 minute drive.

Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel and will be staying here again the next time we are in Istanbul!

World Heritage Hotel was a great place to stay in Istanbul. My girlfriend and I stayed 12 nights. Joseph, the manager was most helpful. He went over the city map in detail and advised us about the best places to exchange Turkish Lira. He was always anxious to hear about our daily adventure. The hotel staff was very hospitable as well. Someone was there every afternoon/evening ready to pour a Turkish tea or coffee to accompany the daily selection of pastries. It was a nice treat after doing so much walking. The breakfast was wonderful especially the made to order omelette. The rooms were a little small, but the beds very comfortable. And it was nice to have a small sitting area. I highly recommend this hotel is you are visiting Istanbul for the first time.

We traveled with friends and Istanbul was the first leg of our trip. My wife and I and our friends both agreed that the World Heritage Hotel was an excellent way to start the trip. This hotel is small and the rooms are small, but the beds are the most comfortable beds I've slept in. The showers have lots of pressure and plenty of warm water. Those things are really important to me, but what makes this hotel outstanding are:
1) The management and staff
2) The location
3) The value and good breakfast
We were greeted warmly when we arrived, and given a map and an explanation of where things were and how to get around. We we even lent a metro card (saving us 7 lira) - it saves you about 1 lira per person, per trip to use during our stay. Yusef was always warm, informative and helpful. So was his assistant (I don't remember her name unfortunately, but she was also very warm and helpful), The lobby always has tea and turkish tea (and I think coffee too - can't remember for sure) as well as cakes available at any hour of the day or night. There are umbrellas you can borrow (it rained lightly when we were there). Our plane out left late and Yusef said we could keep our luggage there until we were ready to leave. I can't say enough about this hotel, and it's staff. Yes, the rooms are small - but extremely comfortable and the best staff anywhere!!!
Now for the location. It is very close to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Egyptian Obelisk, and the Sultanehmet metro station. A few minutes more walking from Hagia Sophia and you are at Topkapi Palace. It is in a very safe area - I went out alone and took pictures of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque late at night (11:30 pm) and never felt unsafe. In fact many couples and tourists were out enjoying the park between the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.
Breakfast was good with a nice selection, and included in the room rate. I am amazed at the excellent value of this hotel. Our friends loved it as much as we did. I'd love to come back to Istanbul in the future and stay at World Heritage Hotel. A special hotel in a special place! If you are reading this review, you are probably planning on coming to Istanbul --- please also consider dinner at Imbat restaurant - World Heritage Hotel and Imbat restaurant will get your trip off to an excellent start! Thank you to Yusuf & staff for making our trip to Istanbul so pleasant!

Room Tip: Our friends reported their room was also very comfortable, but they had no view. Still they loved th...

Jetted into the huge metropolis of Istanbul after a 22 hour flight from the other side of the globe. Arriving at the World Heritage hotel, feeling a little jaded,we were graciously welcomed by the manager Yusuf who went out of his way to ensure that we settled end into our holiday with minimum stress. The whole team at the hotel worked tirelessly to make our stay a very positive experience. Whether it be:- providing endless complimentary tea, coffee and cakes;servicing the room; delivering a delicious breakfast each morning;providing tourist information in terms of what to see and how best to get there.....and much more.
The World Heritage hotel is ideally located in Sultanahmet within easy walking distance to attractions such as the Blue Mosque , Spice market, Grand Bazaar, the Bospheros.etc.
If you are looking for a great place to stay in Istanbul you should not go past this reasonably priced boutique hotel which provides exemplary personal service in a fabulous location.

Previous reviewers have lauded this excellent hotel and its superb location, so I will not repeat all the superlatives. However I will confirm all the good things that have been said about Yusuf and his staff who all make a special effort to ensure that their guests have a memorable stay at the hotel. You will not find the large bedrooms, suites and lounges that the Sheratons or the Marriotts have in their faceless hotels, but you will pay a lot less and receive a genuine welcome. Highly recommended.
