“Forget your second thoughts and book it now!!!”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

We booked the hotel literally a few minutes before boarding on our flight! WHH did not let us down not even for a single minute! We had a child of three years old with us, and the only thing we actually wanted was to spent our five days holiday in a decent and clean hotel. The hotel was over and above of what we were actually expecting! Mr Yusuf and his team (Mr. Fatih, Mr. Umit, the lovely lady ,whose name I keep forgeting , and everyone else there) made us feel like home!!! It is so nice to return back from a tiring day and be greeted with an honest smile coming strainght up from the heart! Mr Yusuf's knowledge were so helpful! The guy is amazing! He cannot miss anything. You have a question? Simply ask him and you get the answer!!!

We've stayed in room 604, which was perfect for us! Eventhough the room was by the staircase that let to the breakfast area, we heard absolutely no one! As far as it concerns the bathroom (even if the room had a shower instead of a bath tab) I' ll simply say this: one of the cleanest and decent hotel bathrooms I came across! The bed was super!!! Still miss those pillows!!! Bed sheets were spotless, clean, and that matress was such a comfortable one!!!! Excalty what one needs after so many hours walking around the city! Tv and A/C worked absolutely fine! The furnishing of the room was good with relaxing to the eyes colors! Eventough the room was a bit small to accommodate a baby cot , we had no issues with the kid and we actually found it convenient enough for the three of us!!! The room had a partial view of the Blue Mosque from our french balcony! In the room we had the facilities to fix a hot cup of tea or nescafe and the mini bar (gift from Mr Yusuf) made our stay even more pleasant! Every day the mini bar was refilled ! I have to admit though that the welcoming teas and sweets at the reception (were available for everyone any time of the day) made us feel as if were returning back home!!!

The breakfast area was furnished in a simple way and together with the morning breeze and the variety of goods offered for breakfast, our mornings were pleasant enough. The breakfast was rich enough to accomodate all tastes: those who were more into the european style breafkast and those who wanted to taste the turkish kahvalti (breakfast)!!

After all is great to feel you are home while you are away from it!!!!

TIPS:
Choose WHH if:

*You want to hang arount Sultanahment monuments! All major monuments just 5-10 minutes away from the hotel's doorstep!

*You want to be near the metrotram. Actually the metrotram is litterally 5 mitutes walk from the hotel!

*You have kids and toddlers with you! It is such a child friendly hotel!!!

*For its staff! Starting from the manager to the last person working there, they all deserve extra credit for their hospitality and positive enery! Eventhough we checked out at 12 o'clock lunch time, our bus was leaving at 21:30 hrs. WHH staff kept our luggage and provide us a space to refresh prior leaving to catch the bus!!

Room Tip: Higher floors with the french balcony will give you a little view of the Blue Mosque. Go for it! Ha...

WHH was a great place to stay in Istanbul. The staff was so very helpful and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The location cannot be better, very close to many must see sights. I really cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel. Great value for the money.

The rooms were comfortable and spotless when we arrived and were cleaned thoroughly every day. The hotel is located right in the heart of Sultanahmet and is only a few minutes walk from a tram station, the Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia etc. But the highlight of the stay was the service offered by Youssef and his crew. From the minute we arrived the staff were all incredibly helpful and attentive. We had an early morning flight and they kindly arranged for a small breakfast to be waiting for us at 4.30 am.

The WHH Istanbul is an excellent place to stay in every respect.
The staff are the best and so very very helpful. They plan your day and visits etc for you and offer the very best local knowledge that you could ask for.
The breakfast has many options eggs, salad , Turkish etc.
The staff make sure that you are welcomed back after a walk etc with a cup of tea or coffee and home make cakes.
The mini bar is free or a gift as Yusuf calls it.
The room is a good size and well appointed and it is excellent value for you money.
I give the WHH the 110% tick of approval.

A very welcoming hotel, exceptional courtesy on arival providing us with a welcoming glass of tea and Turkish coffee while explaining in detail where the hotel was located and some very useful tips for travelling around the city and visiting the various sights. Very good recommendations for several nice restaurants and cafes of which we visited several and were impressed with all of them.

The hotel is located in a quiet street and even though our stay coincided with Ramadan (and the surrounding areas were busier that usual) we enjoyed a good nights sleep. Rooms are compact and well decorated, not much hanging space for clothes but that is all that could be faulted. A really nice touch was the tea and coffee making facilities and the complimentary water and soft drinks from the fridge that were replenished every day.

Breakfast is taken in the simple but airy top floor room, good range of fresh and dried fruits, meat, cheeses, juices and other delicacies that ensured we were well set up for a day exploring this incredible and exciting city.

All the staff we encountered were charming and only too happy to help us. A lot of big or so called boutique hotels fail to even meet this level of hospitality, so a warm congratulations to the manager and staff.

Room Tip: We took an upper room and there were no problems, some comings and goings in the surrounding corrido...

I stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend for 8 days. As many others have said, Yusuf and the rest of his staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure you had the best stay possible. We were given maps and recommendations of places to visit, as well as restaurants of different styles and price ranges. There was a free soft drinks mini bar in the rooms, and tea, coffee and cakes at the reception. The reception is open all hours. The hotel is within walking distance of the Blue Mosque / Hagia Sophia / Topkapi Palace as well as the tram stop for venturing further away (all explained by Yusuf upon arrival). Rooms were clean and quiet, and our double room was plenty big enough for two with a very nice bathroom.
We could not have wished for a better, more welcoming place to stay and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone coming to visit Istanbul.

The staff were excellent help with me on a business trip. The room was beautifully decorated with fabulous bathroom and great internet connection. The hotel is in a great central place for some of the key tourist attractions and the tram was easy to use for my business meetings. I will definately stay here again.
