Perfect for a one night stay in Istanbul right opposite the famous and fabulous Grand Bazaar.
Excellent value at £36 for us and our 7 year old. Good size room - clean too. Breakfast buffet as usual. Reception staff very helpful.

The hotel is in a good location for the Grand Bazaar and a two minute walk from the tram station Beyazit. It`s also only a 20 minute walk down the hill to the main sites of Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Cisterns etc. Or you can get the tram for 3 Turkish Lire pp. Check in at the hotel was easy and they did not ask for a credit card swipe which was nice. The room however was a bit small. The black out curtains were excellent if you need a good sleep and the beds were comfy enough. Our view was of the inside of the building overlooking the escalators down to reception and across to other guest rooms on the other side of the internal courtyard. This meant you had to keep the net curtains shut at all times for privacy and you couldn`t tell what the weather was doing until you got outside. There is a Turkish bath on the premises which we did investigate but discovered it was a mixed bath and there was only a small robe to cover yourself. We decided against it. The hotel was adequate for our needs for two days but if I was staying in Istanbul for longer I think I would like a view of outside and a bit more space. The front desk were helpful and friendly.

We liked the location very convenient , walking distance to the metro station. Supermarket n fast food was just downstairs. Daily restaurant was connected. For those who enjoy indian/pakistani food its a delight. For Mall of the Emirates, being a family of five, we used to take the taxi which charged 12Dhs. The kitchen area n lounge very spacious , the facilities were very good like the washing machine n the kitchen utensils . The negatives were: It was not sparkling clean n the tiles were pretty dirty n overall it gave a look of an old apartment. You wouldn't get any luxury feel. However, room n staff service was extremely helpful .

I booked this as there was a great discount and it far exceeded expectations.
Check in staff were friendly, knowledgeable and we were given a local map on arrival.
The location of the hotel is so good you can walk to many attractions or take the public transport from almost right outside the hotel.
We booked room only as we were packing a lot in to our 3 day trip.
They offer a great add on service for a small extra cost - kettle in your room, or buffet breakfast.
The room was clean and tidy and warm and as requested we were given a quiet room towards the back as the hotel fronts a very busy road.
If you can get a good price here it's a great base from which to explore this wonderful city.

Stayed at this hotel for about 3 nights, close to some of the best landmarks, walking distance. Standard rooms are very small with no balcony (not good for if you have a toddler who wants to walk around) but then we got moved to their better rooms where we got a good view and more space. Overall i guess it is good for adults, but if you have children reconsider as they will get very bored! Oh and you have free wifi!!

The Barcelona Saray is located across the street from the Grand Bazaar, which is wonderful for those that plan to shop a lot as it is a quick walk back to you room to drop off shopping bags. It is also a short 15 minute walk to many major tourist attractions. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing though and I would have liked a bathtub in my room (as opposed to only a shower). However, the rooms were quiet and clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again due to its excellent location and price.

Very good location of the hotel, pretty close to Grand Bazar, Beyazit square ( mosque, tower ), tranway station, Santa Sofía, Blue Mosque and Suleyman Mosque. Reception people very friendly. Very good breakfast. If I go again to Istambul, I very probably will choose "Barceló Saray Hotel".
