“really small rooms”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

It was the smallest hotel room I have stayed. I did not measured but I would say the total use area of the hotel was around 10 m2. The double bed they had mentioned was 120 cm. So forget it if you are two people. The hotel is located next to a kebab house. At midnight if you have an open window you will smell food and kebab. It is located at a noisy place. The room was not good for allergic people. There is too much dust in the air. I do not think that they would able to fit a vacuum cleaner at the room, since it is too small. The bathroom could be 5 m2 at most.
I do not recommend this hotel. It could only be a last chance. Could be an alternative to staying in tent.

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. Perfect location (only 5 minutes away from Taksim Square and Istiklal street) the breakfast is good but no variety. Rooms are small (as well as the beds). Very clean and recently renovated. Pleasant staff, not everyone knows English but they'll do their best to help you. This hotel is recommended if you're planning to spend your days in the city shopping or visiting city sites.

Visited April2014.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms that have views on the street.

Hotel was very comfortable and very clean. Photos represents the real situation. Stuff were very friendly. Hotel is at Taksim, walking distance to several bars and restaturants. I can recommend this hotel.

This hotel is located close to best areas of Istanbul. Isteghlal st., & Taghsim place are located less than 2 minutes by walking.
This hotel was really clean,we stayed there for 4 days, the breakfast was really excellent. We enjoyed this small but clean & close to major places hotel. We absolutely will be back at this hotel again in next months.

In turkey hotels star rating is a bit different from world standards cause in this hotel there is no pool,no sport areas, no spa and the room sizes is smaler than standards. Rooms is smal but very clean and comfortable, bed is very comfortable there is two tvs in room i think its not necessery to have a second tv in a room. Insted of it they can putin rooms a coffe maker or platea and spoons... But its overal is good.
Beakfast is very poor and they have a fixed menu, no changes in foods. We stayed 10 days in hotel and the breakfast is not changed.after 3 days we domt eat in the hotel.
The main advantage of hotel is the location. The location is very good and the best location in istanbul for foreign turists in taalimhane, taksim.
Its a good place to stay with family and the problem is just the breakfast. But its not a 4 star hotel with world standards. It can just 3 star but the next star is for location.
But you should prefer this hotel

The hotel has many plus but also some negatives that i would like to share with everyone. The position of the hotel is very very good and very very convinient! Just 30 seconds from taksim square and taksim subway station in a very quiet and safe area with many hotels around. The room was pretty nice, not that big but not that small, with modern design and nice bed! It was cleaned everyday and that was good, but here comes the first negative, the lady from the room service kept knocking on the door everyday at 10 o clock and the second day she literaly entered the room! (I would advice you to ask the reception for avoiding this). Also although the receptionists were mostly kind, no one knew how to speak english well and also one of them didnt actually even say "thank you for staying here, have a nice trip home, goodbye-and a smile" but he just knodged his head when we said that we were leaving.. These two small but noticable incidents made me vote 4/5* and not 5/5 to this hotel which price: 78€/night was way way fair for its fascilities!!

I was on May on a leisure short trip with my friends from Germany, and Brussels to Riva Hotel.
The Hotel is for one more time very nice, with excellent service from Reception,Bar,Breakfast, service.
The owner and his family always available with smile to help everybody, also I have to mention the Reception Manager is very helpful and polite.
We had nice room and upon check out a very nice gift was offered to all of us.
Thank you for your warm hospitality and Im looking forward to come back again on September .

Room Tip: Rooms at the higher floor are better
