Do one of the 90 minute cruises of the Bosphorus visiting both the Europe and Asia side. Only 12TL. Don't expect much of a commentary, but it's a pleasant of gaining perspective about the place.

Situated next to Galata bridge,Eminonu pier is an amalgam of local people and tourists, all of them eating "balik ekmek" - a kind of sandwich with grilled fish.It tastes pretty good,is cheap(6TL) but the fish seem to be mackerel,a fish that not even live in the Mediteranean Sea...
Also you can try some local piquant pickles, grilled corn or chestnuts, fresh made pomegranate or orange juice.
Across the street are Spices Bazaar and Yeni camii(The New Mosque).
Eminonu pier is also one of the starting points for Bosphorus cruises.
Extremely crowded.

Vibrant with a number of restaurants and men with their fishing rods fishing.. Its a busy part of the city. You can get noats to take you on the bhosophorus tours as well as public boats for a trip around the golden horn.
Great views of Karakoy and the galata tower. The new mosque is just across the Eminou tram station. There are also a lot of street shops and food stalls on the pier.

Just to inform you, The fish they serve here is actually comes from Norvay, it is frozen mackarel, not Turkish fish.. I know the price is not bad because it is kinda fast food for us ( Turkish people ) but i is no Great. The way they cook is on the metal plate but best fish you can eat, even frozen mackarel should be cooked on charcoal grill,, not on a metal plate. Therefore as a Turkish , I never eat on this boats unless if it's cooked on Charcoal. ( some boats do on charcoal) There is one in the evenings near to Uskudar ferry sation in Eminonu and that one is more tasty believe me.

The fish made on the luxury look swinging boats are the major scene of Eminonu Pier.
However, the fried fish, or the fish sandwich has its best not far away.
Just across the Gatala Bridge, the fish market at Karakoy offered cheaper and more delicious fish cuisine.
Cook at Eminonu Pier are too busy to take care of every detail.
