Upper floor deluxe rooms and suites are the best. Great views from the terrace. Nice breakfast. Great wine shop called Sensus, downstairs in a cellar like store. The terrace has views of the Galata Tower and Golden Horn. The breakfast is served on the terrace which is a big plus.

Turn of the century property with matching /outdated decor and furnishings, and ditto bathrooms. Rooms smallish except the Junior Suites, worth the extra 30 bucks. Kind housekeeping staff, to be commended. Service otherwise below par, prepare to call Reception twice each time you need anything. Glassed-in rooftop breakfast place and evening restaurant w/ 5-star view of Sultanahmet, Golden Horn and Beyoglu, open terrace in parts. Breakfast is turkish but with good number of choices, the kitchen somewhere below cooks eggs any style. Have not tried the restaurant. Hotel sits right beside Galata tower, and the square is noisy all through the day and well into the night; soundproof windows? No. M2 Şişhane station 300 meters, so easy to get to from airports, and well placed for sightseeing.

This is a fine city hotel. We stayed for only 2 nights. The front desk reception staff are polite and quick to check you in.

We had a room that faced down the side of the hotel and not in front of Galata tower which is only a stretch away. This was fine for us as it was very peaceful.

The rooms are palacial and have everything of comfort you'd require.

The breakfast is very tastefully presented at the roof restaurant which have amazing views.

We felt very comfortable at this wonderful city hotel in the heart of this beautiful historical district. Beautiful.

Recommended?. ...very much so.

Staff was so helpful. Loved rooftop breakfast, view is breathtaking. Could think of no better way to start the day. And be sure to try wine cellar. Great cheeses and wine. Was perfect! Window was facing Galata tower. Can get a little loud , so maybe request rear room if that bothers you.
