“The Standard Room was nothing more than a Pigeon Hole.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 October 2013

The Standard room was nothing more than a Pigeon Hole. Will not recommend anyone to dream of staying here. The Bed was very small and standard of cleaniless is not acceptable. The Charges of USD 146/- for such a room is unbelievable

Reading the reviews we thought that the hotel is located very close to the center. Yes, it is close but when you get to the center by feet you are already tired. Istanbul is a very big city, be ready to use a tram or a taxi! The aria near hotel is very commercial, we would prefer to stay directly in the old center. We had big corner room, which is not standard, that one was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was really very good. The personnel was very helpful and friendly except of the guest relation lady (Russian one) which never said even "hello" to us in our 5 days of permanence. Very strange behavior for a person responsible for guest relations.

Located in Lali, there are lots of good resturants & night-life nearby but in-house restaurant was excellent, with relaxing music & al-fresco dining in evening & massive breakfast buffet. Staff was friendly & helpful; rooms were clean & comfy, (tho would have been cramped for more than 1 person); nice modern bathroom.

Good price for downtown Istanbul. Would definitely visit here again.

Did not have chance to enjoy the in-house hamam, but it is run by another business so does not provide especially favorable rates for guests & also severely limits guest access to the pool without surcharges.

We spent there one week and we liked it a lot. It is located quite close to the old town, very easy to get around. Is clean, nice, worth the money spent. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Heard other rooms too much only on one occasion when either they were arguing very loud or were from very loudly speaking countries. Don't know which really. So can't say that the rooms can be heard through really. We also used the pool and it was very helpful after long walks in sun. Food was also very good, better than in most other places I've been. That goes to hotel restaurant as well. Thanks to the hotel staff for a nice visit in their hotel! :)

- The staff was very helpful and friendly!
- Great location: 10mins walking from the Grand bazar.
- The breakfast was not rich (like most 4-stars taksim's hotels) and not poor but good enough.
-The conditioning system in the breakfast room was centered on a unique place so most people were sweating when taking the breakfast.
- There was only 2 lifts for the whole hotel, too much rooms and too much people using it so we had to wait for about 10mins every morning.
- The rooms were quite small, there was no table and chairs around it like in most taksim's 4-stars hotel.
- Great hotel, rooms were clean, quite and comfortable.

Stayed here in June as part of a tour group. The room was moderate size by European standards, and relatively quiet, given its location being fairly central to many sights of Istanbul. The AC was controlled by remote, and wi-fi worked well. I can't comment on the gym, because we didn't have time to use it. But I did visit the indoor pool, which was really too small for lap swimming; not sure why they had it at all. Breakfast buffet was filling, with a wide assortment of cold and hot dishes, some that were cooked on the spot.

Stayed at Mosaic Hotel as part of our Gate 1 Tour of Turkey. We stayed at the Hotel for 2 nights before the start of our Tour and then for 1 night at the end of the Tour. For the first part we had a big room with 2 single beds, the AC worked well and the bathroom was small but good. On our return stay we had a small room with a queen bed. The AC worked fine but the shower was awful, very slow and water running off into the room. We requested another room but were told the hotel was full. Anyways, the Hotel is in a good location, very safe, close to convenience store, restaurants, shops, tram station, mosque, etc. Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, etc. is about 30 mins. walk from the Hotel. The Breakfast & Dinner Buffets were very good with plenty of food & choices. Coffee & Tea were great too. The staff speaks English but didn’t appear to be very attentive or friendly. I would give the hotel a 3 star instead of 4. Also, the noise from the other rooms & hallways can be very loud and disturbing while you are trying to rest.
