“You get what you pay”

First of all, Istanbul is a beautiful city with wonderful people. I have to come back. But I will look for another hotel. This one has smelly rooms, and not very clean. Bathrooms smell like rotten drains, the hairdryer never worked. Great location though. Yes, you got to climb up a little to get to it, but this is Istanbul, not New York. Most everybody in the hotel spoke poor English: they said yes to everything, but you could tell they were not understanding a word. It took them three days to fix the fridge in the bedroom, though they always said it would be fixed by the time we got back from our daily trips. Breakfast was very cheap. Rooms were kind of small, not all have a pretty view. I actually saw 3 different rooms: one of them was very noisy, the other facing an inside patio, the third had a good view though. Elevator is scaaaary, I got trapped in it the very first night, and the only thing the staff member kept saying was: "Not good, not good". It is a cheap hotel, the staff is nice, but not very helpful. Istanbul and its people are magnificent!

Room Tip: Ask to change it if you do not want it. Higher floors have more chance of a nice view

1) Poor location, very hard to find, you must be Olympic athlete to climb streets up and down.
2) Rude day time and evening staff at reception.
3) No guests allowed in room at any time, my brother came to visit me during day time and he had to pay 20euros to come to room just to pick few things from my room, this is shambles and day light robbery.
4) Very limited selection of food at breakfast, no juices, only juice drink full of sugar.
