this small hotel is strategically located, it's near to tourist places around Istanbul. The Guest Relation Manager Mr. Selceuk was very accomodating and was always helpful even to the last minute of our stay, he recommends and suggests places to go, how and when to go. Breakfast is great, I like the fresh fruits and the Turkish bread, and the cherry jam. Service is fast especially with the egg omellete, our suite was spacious and clean, sheets were clean, and room service was very good. there is only one concern that is the smell of cigarette smoke from the other rooms, or I really don't know where is it coming from. we were at the ground floor maybe if it's in the upper floor it would be better. My husband and I had a great time drinking white wine in the rose garden. Overall, we had a nice time in this hotel...

Room Tip: higher floors maybe better

This hotel is perfectly situated in the quiet heart of Sultanahmet, 10 walking minutes from the Hyppodrome, Blue Mosque etc. The staff was throughout friendly and helpful. Complimentaary fresh fruits and drinks in the room and in the lobby. A stay to remember!

A very good hotel for any traveller. Staff was great and very helpful and quality of service was excellent. Location was good, short distances to everywhere and there was not too much traffic at night. Courtyard of the hotel was pleasant and very clean. What else can you say, we enjoyed our stay at Garden House!

My husband and I have just returned from a Birthday week-end trip to the Garden House, where we were delighted by the most warm welcome we have ever received at any hotel (and we've done a fair amount of travelling in our time!!). And indeed we also had a kindly wave from Selcuk and other members of staff as we left the hotel at the end of our trip......every one of the staff was most hospitable.

Selcuk went above and beyond the call of duty in his role of Guest Relations Manager; and was overwhelmingly concerned that we made the best use of our time in the few days we had there. Although we'd done some research as to which were the prime attractions to visit, he assisted us with choosing the most ideal organised tours, and boat trips etc to suit our requirements.

The Executive suite that we stayed in was spacious and splendid with ornate gold trimmings, and looked out over a typical city back street. There was fresh fruit provided in the room daily, but more importantly there was no hesitation to pampering to our English habits(PG Tips drinkers!!) and a complimentary carton of fresh milk was instantly delivered to the fridge in our room.

The breakfast was plentiful with fresh fruit, dried fruit, boiled eggs, freshly cooked omelettes, olives, cheeses and an array of freshly baked breads. We've had 'Muslim' styled breakfasts before in the UK and come out feeling hungry and having to seek a replacement breakfast elsewhere.....but at the Garden House we set off for the day feeling replenished and fit for a day of exploring.
One thing that Selcuk did fail to mention was that there is a quaint little craft area just below the hotel, the tendency is for everyone to just head up into the main centre of Sultanahmet. In the craft area just between the hotel and the little Haya Sofia Mosque there is a charming little jewellers, where the young lady crafts individual pieces, a Turkish carpet shop and a wonderful Fine Art outlet. Admittedly it was only a tiny mix of craft shops, but they were dedicated to their skills, and just keen to share the beauty of them with you......rather than extracting money from your pocket!!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone intending to explore Istanbul, and we will definitely be heading back there as 3 days to cover the city just wasn't long enough.
