Great location, near the major sites (Blue Mosque, Topkapi). Rooms are a/c and they turned it on even in April, which was nice. The toilet was the main disappointment. While it was clean, drainage was really poor, and the whole toilet was wet (and stayed wet) after a shower.

The hotel was located in a great location near to the major sights. Thats the good.

The general manager; I was there for four nights, and the manager changed daily. Two were fine, one was outstanding, and the other was a Turkish version of Basil Fawlty without the amusement. Upon night three of my stay I returned to the hotel to find out that this manager had let my room to another guest, a Turkish guest. You would have thought that my things in the room were a bit of a giveaway someone was staying there. Well not to 'Basil'. So I waited until the other guest returned, and he galantly vacated the room. Nothing was stolen, but I had left money and my passport. My girlfriend entered the room with me and I preceded to get changed for the evening, both of us saying how unprofessional the whole thing was. Then, five minutes later, the same manager started knocking on the door and yelling to get the woman out, saying she hasn't paid. She hadn't paid because she was staying with her parents in Istanbul and was in the room for five minutes. She went out upset. She spoke to the manager with me, and his words were 'this is not that kind of hotel'. The rudeness was unbelieveable, especially after letting the room to another guest.

There are many lovely hotels in this area, this is not one of them unless you want to watch a live episode of Fawlty Towers, Istanbul style.

Havıng read the revıews we booked 2 sıngle rooms so we would have more space and the bathrooms would not cause too many problems. New matresses and beddıng were put ınto the room (so now softer pıllows) durıng our stay and my room was very clean and fresh towels everyday. Nıce touch shampoo and soap haırdryer ın bathroom and TV although control dıd not work I could change on the T.V. The breakfast was good wıth a choıce of tea and coffee cereal and typıcal turkısh or contınental better than some prıcer hotels Ived stayed at. There ıs a problem wıth Englısh beıng spoken ! In that we expect everyone to speak ıt we should try to comunıcate ın Turkısh use a Phrase book ıts part of the fun.
