Nice location but very small rooms and building.
Positives: Friendly, location is 5 minutes to the blue mosque and main attractions, view from the breakfast room, good airport transport collection (£20), good price - cheap.

Negatives: Very small rooms with low ceilings (not all like this) room 6 on the 1st floor was too small, no iron or tea/coffee facilities, one pillow and fairly thin, breakfast area small so can be like musical chairs.

Overall good price and location but i would have paid more for some space. In summary, we ave stayed in better places with similar costs, ratings and size.

Room Tip: sea view room or balcony

Dear guest,

We would like to thank you very much for your very helpul review. We took into consideration your remarks and we informed the related departments about it.
As far as the tea/coffee facilities are concerned, you could find in the breakfast room free tea/coffee and biscuits/cakes, everyday from 4 to 6 pm.

We thank you again and we hope to see you a second time in our hotel for your next stay in İstanbul.

Sincerely,

Justine Duchanoy, Guest Relation Officer

We stayed at the hotel for 6 days and nights. As usual we enjoyed a clean well put room with fabulous view overlooking the Sea. Great service very friendly people. The hotel's location is great because it is in the historic part of town, only walking distance from historical places and great shopping places. My wife enjoyed very

Room Tip: The Sea View room is a great and a very relaxing and is worth the extra cost.

Its a nice, cosy hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet. It convenient to get to the attractions from here. We got a room on the attic and it was really cool. Breakfast is just outside our door and we have a beautiful view of the Marmara Sea. The only setback was there are no elevator so we have to climb out the stair every day after a day of intense sightseeing. But for the price of this hotel and location, its hard to complain. Definitely will stay here again on my next visit to Turkey.

Room Tip: Get the attic room

Dear guest,

We want to thank you so much for sharing your opinion about our hotel. Make you being happy is very important for us.
We are very sorry for the efforts spent for the stairs, unfortunately the structure of our hotel doesn't enable to install one elevator.

We are looking forward to see you an other time in our hotel.

Best regards,

Justine Duchanoy, guest relation department

We arrived Deniz House Hotel around 4 pm, we were informed that there is no vacancy at the Hotel however they offered us a room in what they called "B Block" This was a separate building which did not resemble a hotel and the room they showed us was in a basement, extremely small and dark. After protesting we were offered a room in the main hotel for which they wanted an additional payment of 20 Euros per night.
It was very amateurishly run. At the time of arrival they had workmen at the entrance and the floors were covered with gunge. In fairness that they cleared this up fairly quickly and apologised but it was not a good first impression.
According to the Deniz House Hotel reviews and they proudly advertise themselves as "Afternoon Tea ; Even though it is known as English habit, Turks are also fond of afternoon tea offered with snacks. We keep the same tradition at Deniz Houses by offering complimentary tea, coffee, home made cakes and biscuits at our terrace in the early afternoon. You can watch the splendid view of the sea while you are having your tea at our terrace". However there were no Turkish tea in the afternoon, no selection of cakes or biscuit, accept left over 'pogaca' which was stale and burnt. When we mentioned this to staff they were not interested at all.
Breakfast suppose to be served 8 - 10 am and when we joined the breakfast just 9:10am, there were very little hot food left - four cold sausage and hardly any potato. We were not the last
people to arrive to the breakfast - there were at least four or five other parties who arrived after us.
Be aware that sea view rooms has railway line between the hotel however it was not noisy during our two night stay.
We would not stay in this hotel when we visit Istanbul again.

Heart warming experience I had at Deniz House, as I checked-in a friendly desk clerk Mr. Karam was there to help me, carried my luggage to my room. My room was spotless clean with a ocean view, bathroom was shiny n clean. Free Traditional turkish breakfast everyday. staff was going out of the way to help me organized my time in Istanbol, Mr. karam arranged my tour guide for me, otherwise I would not be able to see as much I have seen in two days. Thank you mr. Karam n Thank you to all the staff. You guys are my reason to come back to Istanbol.

Room Tip: Rooms are well heated, airconditioned n quiet, some with ocean view.
