This hotel is in an excellent location in the Sultanahmet district in central Istanbul. A short walk to a choice of 2 train stations. Walking to all major attractions and a huge number of restaurants to choose from. BUT the only rooms that have balcony with floor to ceiling windows and door are in the 4th Floor at the front of the hotel consequently they are more noisey. We had a back room which was dark and pokey and smelled of cigarettes but it was quiet.
There is no foyer it is all part of the restaurant on the ground floor and was very cosey with more than one couple checking in at once. The check-in was fine and breakfast was quite good with scrambled eggs an option instead of the usual boiled egg we got everywhere in Turkey. I would stay again but would ask for a Room on the front.

I was there in February 2012. The hotel is in a good location - best places in the city just few steps from here. The room design was also not so bad. These were the good things, now the bad ones:
- breakfast was poor. On Saturday they were late with serving it!
- in the room, instead of heating, the cooling mode was active, and it was not possible to change it. It was extremely cold in the room! The hotel staff was trying to set the proper mode on the central control panel, but most probably something was wrong with the air conditioning system. Well, next time in Istanbul I will seek rather for another hotel.

Our 5 day stay was terrific. The staff is very helpful. We had a regular third floor room which was clean and spacious and they gave us a large bottle of water each day. Breakfast was delicious-lots of fresh fruit, and we ate several dinners outside at the hotel's restaurant. Food was great and had a big selection. This hotel is in walking distance from everything- we walked to the Grand Bazaar and across the Bosphorus. They have old photos of the old city lining the hallways which was interesting to see how the area looked in the early 1900's. We also utilized the hotel to pick us up and drop us off at the airport and they were very prompt. I would recommend this hotel for a wonderful place to stay in the heart of the old city.

Room Tip: The rooms on the main street are a little noisy.

This was a great hotel to stay in, especially for first time visitors to Istanbul. You are walking distance from everything - the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, etc. There is a tram stop right outside of the hotel and it is easy to get to from the airport and accessible to all other parts of the city. The rooms were clean, well sized, and the breakfast every morning was great. Additionally, there are a lot of good kebab and Turkish ice cream places in the area if you want a cheap lunch or dinner option.

The location is great, near the blue mosque and the bazar and its quite cheap for a city center hotel! The room was good, but didn't like the bathroom - i had that sensation that wasnt clean enough because we had the misfortune of having hairs and dark stains in our bed sheets when we arrived. The manager solved it quickly - we understood that could happen anywhere - and was really kind to us. The breackfast is ok for a city center hotel. I gave 4 most because of location and good quality/price.

If you want to be in the thick of the action, this is the place. However, having written that, there is the tram running outside the hotel and if your room faces the front and you are a light sleeper, it could use you some concerns. Initially we were in room 102 and as I could not sleep the first night, the concierge was kind enough to put us in 403 which was much better. We arrived by 10am and the concierge at that time, Mr. E. Guven was kind enough to give us a room. In fact, you can not fault the concierges as they were very kind and helpful. There is an adjoining restaurant to the hotel where hotel guests also receieve 15% discount on the food. The breakfast was fine, love that yoghurt!!! From the hotel, you are within 10 minutes to just about everything including the hop on, hop off bus and the tickets can be pruchased from the concierge. The Grand Bazaar is perhaps 10 minutes away as well (opposite direction to Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, etc) . There is so much to see and do in Istanbul...it is magical..

Room Tip: Avoid front facing first floor if you are a light sleeper.

We enjoyed our stay in this boutique hotel in Old Town Istanbul. The hotel is very centrally located, only 10 to 15 minutes of walking to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Tokapi Palace, and the Grand Bazaar. This is an older hotel, but our room was clean, bright, and the room size was definitely above average. The hotel has a full restaurant and the breakfast it serves (included in the room price) was also very nice and fresh. The trolly stop is right outside the hotel, and its close proximity to all the attractions in Sultanahmet were unbeatable.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor room with the front street view
