“A little gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2014

Stayed two nights prior to an Oceania Cruise. Upon arrival (after being dropped off from the airport at the end of the street as the street the hotel is on is traffic free after 10 am) we received the friendliest of welcomes from the staff plus a refreshing cup of Turkish Tea and Turkish delight. The hotel is well located. A few minutes walk up the hill to the trams and Grand Bazaar. and down the hill to the old town shops and restaurants. Although obviously a fairly old hotel, the bedrooms are really modern, spotlessly clean and with all the usual facilities one needs e.g tea/coffee maker, tv, toiletries etc.Breakfast is served on the rooftop which if you wish to sit outside is lovely particularly as we had fantastic weather whilst we were there. The breakfast is mainly a cold, continental style breakfast but there is plenty of choice and more than sufficient.

We had an enjoyable stay in Istanbul and it was a pleasure to stay in the Hotel Niles. A gem of a hotel with the friendliest and most helpful staff you will come across!

I stayed at Hotel Niles l for two nights only. I had a good experience overall. The staff are friendly, attentive and will go out of their way to help you with anything. We arrived at 2am in the morning and everything was closed as we wanted some to buy some food but the staff offered to make us some meals instead since we couldn't find anything open nearby! The room we had was a "classic" and they are clean and tidy. The bathroom is very small, I could hardly move in the shower especially being a tall person but overall there was no issues with hot water etc. The location is great - a few minutes to the Grand Bazaar and only a 1 to 1.5 km walk from the major attractions (just follow the tram line) towards Sultanahmet!

We chose this hotel based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. From the pre-arrival communications to the morning directions, everything was lovely. Our only "surprise" was that the road on which the hotel is located is closed to traffic during the week so we were dropped at the bottom of the hill with our bags to wait for a bellman to assist us up the hill.

Once we got inside, the lobby was lovely and comfortable and the staff extremely helpful. We had a lovely junior suite on the second floor. The room was spacious and the bathroom was large. The air conditioning unit cooled quickly. Having a small fridge and microwave in the room was also really nice.

The location was terrific with the tram nearby. The Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque and lots of wonderful restaurants and shopping nearby.

We loved Istanbul and will be sure to stay at Hotel Niles again!

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Niles after we disembarked from our Celebrity Cruise Ship. The warmth welcome of Turkish tea and Turkish delights given by the hotel staff is definitely a treat as it was raining so hard when we arrived. From the hotel lobby, cozy tea area and the outdoor fountain terrace on the ground floor were all too inviting. We felt like royals.

We booked a junior suite with a Turkish bath and was overwhelmed with the generous size of the room and bathroom.

Even though we had a slight problem with the air conditioning, the staff were attentive in fixing the problem and even offered us a change of room just to ensure we are comfortable.

Location of the hotel is excellent as it is only a 3min walk to the Grand Bazaar or tram station. Convenience is definitely a plus point.

We will definitely recommend Hotel Niles to our friends and will come back to this beautiful boutique hotel the next time we visit Istanbul again.

Last year we had a stopover in Istanbul on the way to the United Kingdom from Hong Kong. We stayed three nights at Hotel Niles and were most impressed by the hotel and service.

We enjoyed our visit so much that we decided to stay again this year at the Hotel Niles and booked in for four nights this time from the 6 June.

This time we felt it was even better. We were given a very warm welcome and all the staff remembered us. The roof top breakfasts were excellent with a great variety of food. A very relaxing way to start the day.

We had a junior suite with turkish bath. The suite was in the new wing and very comfortable and decorated in traditional Turkish style.

The hotel is situated in a great location and convenient for all the sights. We will definately be staying here again next year.

Very well functioning room air conditioners, clean and comfortable rooms, though bathroom is small. Very close to tram station. Loved the terrace for breakfast and drinks. The hotel is family-like, allowed us to bring food from outside to terrace location in the evening. The intern at the breakfast plus others were very courteous and willing to help. You pay extra for what's not in the breakfast menu for example for latte or egg white omelette. It was so nice to see the staff bidding us goodbye when we checked out and kept on waiving us until the taxi was out of sight - so family like!

We took the family to Istanbul during June and booked 4 rooms at the Nile Hotel. We were not disappointed. The rooms were comfortable, clean and provided all you required for a city break. The bathrooms, whilst compact were clean and modern. The roof top terrace was an added bonus where you may enjoy your breakfast inside or out. The food was also good and plentiful. After a day of sight seeing it was lovely to quench your thirst with a beer or glass of wine on the roof top terrace before venturing out for the evening meal. We found the location to be ideal as it is only a minute or two away from the tram line although we walked to most of the places of interest. There are plenty of shops nearby and the Grand Bazaar is just a couple of minutes away.
All the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful.
The hotel organised our taxi pickup from the airport which made our arrival very stress free.
