Excellent hotel. Good value for money too. Lovely roof terrace for breakfast, very helpful staff who spoke great english and quite, comfortable rooms. Istanbul is an amazing city to explore so make sure you have enough time to look around outside the tourist areas. Would stay here again.

We really loved this hotel! Cannot fault anything. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and offered a range of Turkish traditional foods, as well as fruits, cereals and toast varieties ( something for everyone). The decor set a peaceful ambiance. We were served Turkish tea on arrival and I really liked that there was fresh fruit always available. The location was also great, a few minute walk to the main road and grand bazaar. Also a few minute walk from tram line. Very easy to get around on foot or tram. Central location to what we wanted yet still peacefully tucked away. Would highly recommend it and would visit again.

Loved this hotel, it was clean and comfortable and the staff were warm and friendly. We really liked the breakfast terrace that was also open late at night for drinks and snacks. The breakfast buffet was varied and filling and helped set us up for all the walking we were doing. Location wise it was a short walking distance to a tram stop and also to the main tourist attractions in Sultanahmet. Having now visited Istanbul we would prefer for our next visit to stay on the Asian side of the city which has a much more European feel and is really laid back.

I visited this hotel from 25 to 30 July and stayed in the smaller rooms, and I found the hotel delightful. I love how old-fashioned, cosy and quirky it is downstairs, although the rooms are quite modern and I would have preferred a bit more personality in this. But the room was very comfortable (beds are great!) and clean, and it is located in the heart of the old city, close to Beyazit station and many attractions. The hotel staff is very friendly. We enjoyed the free breakfast and many cups of Turkish tea on the rooftop area. I hadn't realised tea making facilities were in the room, which I love, but didn't use as Turkish tea was 'on tap' upstairs. The negatives - only minor - were lack of storage area for clothes (not enough shelves or hanging space esp. for long items), mould in the shower at the top, and the fridge was not that cold. But for the price you pay, the hotel is very good. I will come back but next time I will stay in the larger rooms which look really nice.

Stayed two nights prior to an Oceania Cruise. Upon arrival (after being dropped off from the airport at the end of the street as the street the hotel is on is traffic free after 10 am) we received the friendliest of welcomes from the staff plus a refreshing cup of Turkish Tea and Turkish delight. The hotel is well located. A few minutes walk up the hill to the trams and Grand Bazaar. and down the hill to the old town shops and restaurants. Although obviously a fairly old hotel, the bedrooms are really modern, spotlessly clean and with all the usual facilities one needs e.g tea/coffee maker, tv, toiletries etc.Breakfast is served on the rooftop which if you wish to sit outside is lovely particularly as we had fantastic weather whilst we were there. The breakfast is mainly a cold, continental style breakfast but there is plenty of choice and more than sufficient.

We had an enjoyable stay in Istanbul and it was a pleasure to stay in the Hotel Niles. A gem of a hotel with the friendliest and most helpful staff you will come across!

I stayed at Hotel Niles l for two nights only. I had a good experience overall. The staff are friendly, attentive and will go out of their way to help you with anything. We arrived at 2am in the morning and everything was closed as we wanted some to buy some food but the staff offered to make us some meals instead since we couldn't find anything open nearby! The room we had was a "classic" and they are clean and tidy. The bathroom is very small, I could hardly move in the shower especially being a tall person but overall there was no issues with hot water etc. The location is great - a few minutes to the Grand Bazaar and only a 1 to 1.5 km walk from the major attractions (just follow the tram line) towards Sultanahmet!
