I booked this hotel based on the TripAdvisor reviews and was not disappointed. Traveling alone, my #1 priority was finding somewhere I felt safe and this hotel definitely met that description. It's location is central, less than a 5min walk to the Blue Mosque, but still very secure.

The hotel felt really homely and had much more atmosphere and character than a bigger hotel. The reception was nice and bright and if you don't want to bring your laptop, there is a Macbook for customer use. It was also one of the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. My room was serviced daily, and the linen and towels were always crisp and white. I booked a standard double room, which had a jacuzzi in the bathroom, a small kitchen (free tea and coffee facilities, but you have to pay for the water and cola in the fridge), television, sofa bed, hairdryer, slippers, air-conditioning (though I didn't need it in January!), ironing facilities, safe and extra blankets and pillows. I would give Ada Hotel 10 out of 10 for comfort and cleanliness.

The staff were very nice and friendly, the girls in the breakfast room especially. Breakfast itself was also very good. There was a good selection of hot and cold foods...very tasty! The view from the breakfast room was one of the highlights, as it overlooks the sea. Though there is no restaurant in the hotel, its central location means there are loads of restaurants literally on your doorstep (I'd strongly recommend Denizen Coffee for lunch and a good Turkish coffee).

Thanks to all the staff at Ada Hotel for such a pleasant stay. If I ever go to Istanbul in future, I'll definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Take a room at the back if you want to avoid hearing the call to prayer. I had a room at the back an...

Very nice hotel. Reasonable price. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Wifi works well. There may be better hotels in Istanbul that we didn't stay in but this one is guaranteed to satisfy the vast majority of people.

It's a small home-like hotel with everything you needed: spotlessly clean, comfy linen and big towels, excellent Wifi connection, free international, a home made turkish buffet breakfast which is far more than enough and deicious :) plus perfect location which is convenient and safe. We stayed in the sea view room and it is directly overlooking the Bosphorus Sea with a jacuzzi right next to the window. Truely enjoyed! Other than the great facilities and the hotel itself, the owner, Dr Dogan, who goes extra miles to help solving your problems all the way throughout the trip. Whenever you need help, just let him know and he'll sort it out for you. He also helped to arrange tours with very reasonable prices. Let him know your preferences and he'll talk and decide what tour fits you the best. I have my tours one to Cappadocia and one to Pamukkale/Efes arranged by him and both are so memorable. The most impressive part is that Dr Dogan will make sure you are happy and good with everything even you are out of Istanbul. He does care about his guests no matter you are still staying in Ada, or you've been going on tours somewhere else. Like my mum lost her sunglasses on the way to Kusadasi, I e-mailed Dr Dogan at night and right away he helped us to call the agency, then to the driver, and finally he got us back a good news in within half an hour :) When you travel abroad, you feel helpless sometimes when you have to face problems in somewhere that is not familiar to you. But you will never feel helpless there in Turkey knowing Dr Dogan. My trip to Turkey can't be that smooth and perfect without staying in Ada Hotel and Dr Dogan's help. I will definitely go back again, highly recommended :)

Ada is in the perfect location, a short block or two from the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, and Aya Sophia. Also, it's around the corner from an excellent coffee shop, Denizen Coffee, and has many good restaurants nearby, as well as the tram. A mosque is right across the street, which adds nicely to the atmosphere. (The call to prayer is very audible five times a day, including early morning but that really was, for us, a feature not a liability.) The hotel and rooms are nicely appointed, clean, and well maintained. The owner, Dogan, is a wonderful, caring inn-keeper who went out of his way to make sure we had a good stay. Breakfast was included and had a variety of food. I recommend Ada very highly for anyone who likes small hotels, in great locations, at very competitive prices.

Room Tip: Stay in one of the back rooms if you mind hearing the early morning call to prayer.

Great location, very clean and safe. The breakfast was fantastic and the view from the patio was unbeatable. The room was very nice, and relatively spacious. I would highly recommend, and hope to be back some day.
